Looks like the Nintendo Online deal I dead and it's back to $59.99 for that 8 year old game.
Wdym, I bought no man's sky for $8 and traded it back in for $32 last week
Digital is tied to the system, account.
Non transferable. Unsellable. Can't share.
Un.. well you get my drift here.
You're not wrong, but folks like me still buy digital sometimes for convenience. I still buy physical copies of games that I share with my family and close friends. However, games that I play frequently, I usually buy the digital copy (when on sale) just to avoid having to change cartridges often. I like having both options.
But with a digital copy you cant just move it around systems and share at all. It gets tied to that system.

while two switches can play the game at the same time, they CAN NOT do local peer to peer wireless multiplayer. Learned this the hard way with Mario maker. If you're playing online though, it works just fine. Very few games have local wireless without online play too, so it's only an issue with a very small amount of games.

I think you misunderstood me. There's a handful of games that I enjoy playing on a regular basis. Having to change game cartridges each time I want to move from one game to the next is a little bit of a hassle. For these games, I own the digital copy. It's about convenience and instant gratification. 🙂
For lesser played games, I usually buy physical so I can offload them to family or friends once I've finished playing them for a while. I'm not interested in resale. It's just not worth the time or effort for me (I'd rather just give the game to a family member).
