Can confirm. I have the Viofo, and I just now clicked the link and am surprised by the number of bad reviews. I like mine. Good picture, shows speed and location co-ordinates. Easy install. Quick on/off for bringing into house to upload movies to PC. I recommend it.
From personal experience with a $50 Chyna Special, much like these. The one time I needed clear footage from it... Fail. Night Time = light blooms worse than the most exaggerated video game graphics. Even in daylight the footage looks like it came from a potato. You have to be stopped and on someone's ass to get a clear license plate. That's assuming your state doesn't use odd color combinations that make plates harder to read.
This goes to show you can't fully judge a product by it's price, myself included ^^^. They had the mirror type and the standalone type like you see in this thread for $5 each. It's actually not that bad and the small 4gb sdcard was perfect for my roku. Max 32gb on these. I tried mirror type and will test out he standalone type soon. Since my stock mirror in my 2012 silverado is small this is an improvement. I should of filled my cart with these.
Have a couple of the Yada roadcam mirror dash cams if anyone is interested. Using one and it works great. Located in the DMV. Feel free to send me a DM.

A great bang for the buck, and one I have, is the VIOFO A119 V3. Works great day and night. Runs around $90-100
