Most people are not getting the recommended amount per day. It linked to disease prevention and overall health. Lots of studies out there you can look up.

Routine blood work doesn't report magnesium levels, so people are unaware of their levels.
1.5g of sugar per gummy is nothing compared to one cup of sweetened tea/coffee. Why are you feeling so negative?
These aren't only for magnesium deficiencies. I, as an adult take these (we have the raspberry flavor and they are delicious lol) occasionally for some nerve issues and they help. One of my children is also a bit more "active" and these seem to slow him down a bit, and I give him one nearing bedtime from time to time.

Gonna give the peach a try. Thanks OP

Edit: seems the coupon MAGGUMAP50 can only be used once regardless of which flavor you buy. Was going to order apple as well, but guess not.

I've had compulsive jaw clicking issues for a really long time, and tried taking Mg after reading cokeheads take it to get rid of coke jaw. It actually helps a ton! I do believe it is linked to gastrointestinal distress if you take too much, so play around with dosage.

Unfortunately, it is a thing. I have magnesium and potassium deficiency from cancer treatment. It causes you to wake up in the middle of the night with a massive leg cramp. It is so bad that if your house is on fire, there's no way you can get out of bed to escape it.

Yeah. Your calorie needs increase.
