There are to many individual sets out there now..... but if I had to choose two series to go with from the start of them it would be Star Wars and then the Brickheadz.

Star wars for the ultimate collectible (future retirement fund) and then the Brickheadz as they only emerged 4yrs ago and are cheap (if bought when released on the shelf) and small in size for storage.

I feel you on the jurassic set. I had the Black Pearl... ones on Ebay right now 710.00 with 26hrs left in bidding.
Space/Storage is real concern. Damage is as well. Water, fire, humidity or condensation.

If you don't love it, you shouldn't just be buying with investment mindset. LEGO is a passion, unfortunately I have to enjoy from a distance.

Brickheadz is something that I wished I had started to collect from the beginning of the entire series and bought as they came out. Even thinking about starting now would cost a small fortune.
It would always have cost a small fortune. Brickheadz started out with way too many of each set being made, so then LEGO overdid it, almost canceled it for a bit, and then came back as it is now. Between then The LEGO Movie 2 had four VERY limited sets that were only sold to Red Card target members and sold out within minutes. There were also several Comic Con exclusive sets that probably go for about $500 a piece. And saddest of all was Geoffrey, the TRU mascot who was never released.

by future retirement fund I don't mean sitting on the sets for 20yrs.... buying and then flipping them3-5yrs later. re-invest profits into more sets. I've been doing this for the past 5yrs.

This is why I have a spare bedroom dedicated to collectables with shelving. I usually triple my money every 3-4yrs on my purchases with very little work in the process other than sourcing and buying what I resell.

What do you think this Frankenstein will go for in two years?

2-3.00 more than it is now. Not a major draw for this one as it's not really part of a set so to speak. Just a number to the overall brickheadz series.

what are some the good sets to invest in? I have some storage space that i can utilize. what about Piano, typewriter , daily bugle , CAT , batmobile ? some of them are way expensive
