Sony for:
- Size
- Darker rooms
- Better sound
- PS5

Samsung for:
- Brighter rooms
- Need for viewing at wide angles
- Better UI
- XboxSX

Both are really good choices and I think it mostly comes down to the location you will put it in. Light in room, how far your seats are from the TV, what angle from the TV, etc.
I'm on the lookout for any deal on the 85".
Can you clarify why one is better for the PS5 and the other better for XboxSX?

Costco is also selling at the same price but includes 5 years of warranty (total). Other than the warranty, does anyone know what the differences are between the costco model and non-costco model?

How many ports support HDMI 2.1? Samsung website specs do not mention anything about it.

I have 2017 75" Samsung TV (from Costco). I could never make it work with my Onkyo NR646 amplifier with HDMI passthrough. Onkyo tech support claimed that it is the Samsung TV issue in multiple phone calls.

Not sure about this new Samsung TV.
I have this same issue with my onkyo amp on a Samsung QN90R (2020). Samsung has amazing tv's but everything else they do connecting to external devices is garbage. The newest firmware that installed itself completely jacked up HDMI eARC, and the optical from my one connect box takes sometimes rebooting to get it to send signal. I will be looking for a different brand next time.

Not Dolby Vision but they do have their own form of it and when put side by side any difference is indistinguishable
Another reason to stay away from Samsung. Only has HDR10+. Why not both Dolby vision and HDR?

Samsung should be sued for confusing the consumers with absurd names - quantum dot, qled, neo led, qled, neo qled, all to confuse the consumer into believing that it is OLED equivalent.

Possible future names Pico led, Pico qled, Pico quantum dot, Pico neo quantum dot uled

I get what you are saying, except I specifically don't want OLED because of it's performance in a bright room. I wish they'd call it "super bright" or something.

Too bad almost everyone supports DV and almost none support HDR10+.

This was the same argument years ago before DV won the content wars. It doesn't matter too much now that we know there is very very little in the way of HDR10+ native content, but a plethora of DV content.

Really destroys the argument you are making is what I am saying. They should at least allow the consumer to pay the DV activation fee to use it, but they are just being stubborn and anti consumer at this point.

I am not sure if anyone understands your question? What are you asking exactly? This TV does have a 2.1 port if that is what you are asking, and the TV can utilize the full 120hz refresh at 4k through it.

I think in the long run you won't be very happy. The Q6 is a sub par tv, especially at that size. I would have continued to wait, especially with Superbowl followed by clearance deals just around the corner. Just my opinion of course.
