Thanks for the heads up. Think it will drop any more? I bought at Costco. I guess I can file a price adjustment. $100 back is better than nothing!
Thank you. I knew I kept checking the price for a reason.

Ok, good or great deal? Primarily will be used for sports, shows and movies, no video games anymore.

Source?
Nothing formally released by LG

More so of a find by Reddit, 77 and 83 inch panels made after 9/2021 should have evo

https://www.reddit.com/r/OLED/com...ame=iossmf

To check:

You need a service remote then:

1. Hit the in-Start button and enter 0413 to enter the Service Menu.
2. Arrow down to "12. OLED"
3. Read the box across from where it says "OLED Cell Info" and confirm that the first 3 letters read WBE (EVO)

Or look for a pink tint from side view under certain conditions

Great, thank you! I saw the history on that when searching previous sales. I wasn't financially ready at that time, but imo that's the SD we should be seeing with A80K on the horizon. I have had this model on alerts here, but do only fp items show up in alerts? You're notice reminds me to make sure my account info is active with the exchange. So thank you!
Happy to help! Alerts will come to you as soon as someone posts a deal which is nice. No need to wait for it to gain traction. Email notifications are often delayed by an hour or two, but the app notifications are pretty much instant.

I think that is one of the prevailing improvements to the upcoming models. I've heard they are also supposed to have a 20% increase in brightness and an improved backlit remote. At least those are the improvements I've heard of that interested me.

EDIT: Looks like I was wrong, even the next Gen with A80K are not expected to have the heat sink Roll Eyes (Sarcastic) Gotta go with the A95K coming out to even get that. Here's a good video on what to expect: LINK [youtu.be]

C1 if you plan on doing more gaming than movie watching, the A80J if you plan on doing the opposite. I have the A80J 77" and the picture is amazing. I also have a GTX 2080super desktop gaming to it and it plays beautifully but from my understanding the C1 works better with consoles which I do not use. The Sony US version still has not received an update to enable VRR. The Sony will also have a more reflective screen so if you have it in a bright room with windows it could cause an issue. I have blackout curtains which block out a fair amount of light from my living room and I can still pick up some glare if I look for it. the screen is quite glossy compared to the C1.
The c1 has the more reflective screen. I have both the 65" c1 and a 77" a80j. I game on both and prefer the a80j. I haven't tried fps on either tv yet but the smoothness still feels just about equal and the pq is better on the sony. I currently have my pc(6900xt) and series x hooked up to the a80j and my ps5 hooked up to the c1. The c1 is more glossy, even with the anti reflective coating. Lgs black crush is still apparent. I'm currently playing god of war on the a80j and it's never been better. Other than a crap firmware that was issued, i had no issues with the Sony. I had to reset my TV settings to factory to fix whatever Sony botched. The c1 gaming features are nice but so far the games I've played on both tvs, I've witnessed no discernible difference.

ps: for those wondering about brightness, both tvs get plenty bright(blinding if you ask me). Unless you're watching TV in a room with nothing but windows or glass walls, you will have to turn down the brightness because these tvs get bright.

Ignore the troll. Just looking for attention.

We really need a block feature for these rare occasions where someone makes a crazy statement with no support or substance.

It's a shame the mods won't ban him for trolling and spreading BS lies. If you look at his post history that's all the low life troll does. I guess he doesn't have a life.

No, that's the A90J. The A80J has most of the same capabilities, but the heatsink is reserved for the top model

Panel is made by LG, Sony uses Android, so you have access to the play store. You will be able to find just about everything that you need which is a big plus

To expand, this uses the newer Google TV, a successor to Android TV. As stylez points out, this has full access to whatever streaming apps are available on the standard Play Store, there's not a unique Sony store.
