No, it's a reality check. It's a job you work, nothing more. Why put yourself out there for Target's benefit? I'd take the woman's coupons and be done. She's happy, and she'll come back, and she'll keep spending at Target, and not across the street. Get fired? Get real. Have you seen half of the people who work here? Plenty should have been fired long ago. But management is retarded. You think Mitch Stover gives two shits about coupons? No. He's more concerned if Target stock drops so much as a dollar, because to him it means millions. No, it's not a terrible way to go through life. I simply hold no loyalty to a place that gives none back. I value family first, and make them my priority. These companies will try to make you focus on them. That's in their interest. I'm saying why should you care until they are willing to invest in you. If Target thought firing you would raise the stock price even a few pennies, it wouldn't matter how great you are at Target. Just keep it in mind.
