Quoting myself.....I found out what one of those big bangs from the storm the other night was...my neighbor with his giant tree in his BACK yard had a tree in his FRONT yard get struck by lightening!
Cherry, let us know when you get your power back. Yesterday was a miserable heat day here - I hope you were able to find someplace cool to "chill" - a few of the guests at the Cocktail party last night were out of power too and had to get ready at health clubs and other friends/families houses - what a mess!! Our lights flickered a little bit but never actually lost power. That's unusual since for a few years there we lost power if it even LOOKED like it was going to rain!!
