i have very dry shins, esp in the winter. i use vaseline when all else fails. it's the best. i put it on at nite b/c it's kinda sticky.

my friend used to waterproof her kid's butt at nite w/ vaseline so she wouldn't get diaper rash.

she knows another family who uses vaseline as moisturizer and she says they have the best skin.
ditto. I use it on my hands during the winter.

She scanned it and it did the same thing, rang up for a 2.00 item.. anyway, I gave her 4 more soft soap coupons, and got my 16.00 back. Next time I will be more careful!!
That is so weird that a CVS q would actually ring up as a product.

Found a new mfg tearpad today at Jewel (Albies) - Free water wyb 2 boxes of Wheat Thins and 2 Crystal Light Powdered drink mixes - it's a 44000/93 Secret coded for $4/1 Secret, exp. 7/31.

Also found B3 2-liters Coke and get an 8-pk of Sara Lee Soft and Smooth or Ball Park hotdog or hamburger buns free - it's a 49000/09 and expires 7/12.

AND - found a few Kleenex B3G1 Facial tissues!! These were NEVER out at this store - they were inside a box that they just ripped the top off of and set out on the floor EEK! . This was at Dominicks - of course they expire 6/30 and are 01s so I have a couple of days to use them but wtf??
Nice finds Dpags!!!

You will probably make more than $500 Girly Word of advice keep any of the Glade candles in a shaded area if possible, deodorant and makeup also. My glade candle refills melted in the heat and some of the deodorant started to until I moved them underneath the canopy.

The drinks will sell well in the heat...I sold a lot of cold drinks.

I'm just selling stockpile stuff. Once they see what you have in new merchandise they don't pay much attention to anything used you have.

I've done 2 GS in the last 6 weeks and did almost $1,300 the first one and $1,175 last weekend. I priced my stuff lower than most in the GS thread. A lot of how you price your items depends a lot on the cost of living in your area. I would think up your way you could get higher prices than down here.

I had a lot of repeat customers in the same day. They would go home call their friends and come back with friends and relatives.

Wow. When you say stockpile stuff, you mean like cleaning supplies, and that? I guess I don't really think I have all that much since I only go shopping about 1x per month anymore. Maybe I'll spend the next few days shopping endlessly (have tons of 6/30 Qs to use up) and reassess my "stockpile" situation after that. I need to stockpile some CASH! laugh out loud

laugh out loud Yes, stockpile some cash. woot

Cleaning supplies, poo, cond, diapers, wipes, razors, deodorant, tampons, pads, Glade, ziploc..you get the idea.

The only thing I don't sell out of the stockpile are my favorite brands of items. I usually don't sell my paper goods unless they're brands I don't care for. The rest that I get free a/c or close to free goes to the sell pile.

I CVS as well, so a lot of the stockpile comes from doing those deals

yeah, my hubby just told me I wouldn't make 500.00Mad I feel like I have a ton of stuff, but he may be right.. guess it depends on what I sell it for. Either way, some of this stuff has gotta go. It is just hard to think that shampoo, deo, tooothpaste, glade, etc, will add up to that much.. but we will seeCool

Yeah, I get the idea. I guess I don't shop as much or stockpile as much cause I just buy the brands that I like/use. I figure why waste my energy on crap I'll never use! Remember, I hate shopping!! LOL! I never buy pads, tampons, diapers, crap like that. I guess I should!

I guess I need to change my perspective on this whole thing if I'm going to be a successful GSer and stockpile some cash bounce . Thanks for the tips (and kick in the ass!).

Hey girls! Wave Garage sales? Lust One of my fave subjects. Biggrin2 I haven't had one since we returned to the islands but the two I had on the mainland were well worth it. By the time I put the ad in the paper for my second one, I had people stopping by my house two days early Roll Eyes (Sarcastic) with all sorts of stories as to why they wanted to come in and shop early. I had seen someone in the Garage Sale discussion thread, in the Chicago area saying they made $4k at theirs..... So, made that my goal. Roll I fell short by about a grand it it was still well worth it. Of course, with the second one, I sold ALL my stockpile because we couldn't take it with us.

DPAGS, I haven't had a baby in this house in over 20 years. Diapers were the first thing to sell out at my second yard sale. I'll buy diapers anytime they pay me too. Teehee

Holy Successful Garage Sale Batman!!!!! That ROCKS!! I haven't done one yet - I am going to try the weekend of the 11th/12th ... don't have a HUGE amount of stuff but I do have a small stockpile and I thought I would give it a try. I am going to put up signs on the main roads/junctions to try and attract traffic as we really don't get any ... so keep your fingers crossed for me! I will be thinking about how you did to keep me motivated LOL!
