This thread is being created so people -- generally, those people who can't seem to resist talking about off-topic junk in the Target coupon thread -- have a place to talk about shopping at Target and other miscellaneous matters.

All you folks who hang out in the Target coupon thread, start hanging out here instead! When you've got something relevant to post about Target coupons, please post about it in the Target coupon thread! We'd love to hear about it, but NOT about your dog, your cat, your mom, your genital herpes, your... well, you get the idea.

How do you think they would work for packing stuff and moving? I would like to have things stored but moveable KWIM? I am not looking forward to the move in Sept/Oct.
Yeah, they would work for storing stuff now in them for the move later. Linens and stuff like that... maybe even some kid clothes, towels, etc. They are pretty neat and they have ventilltation holes so you don't have to worry about things getting stale.

I use the Ziploc XL bags for our boat stuff. They seal up perfectly, watertight, and they have handles. A bonus for moving is that you can see what's in the bag instead of having to write on boxes or worse, open boxes to find what you need.
I can fit a beach bag, a blanket, towels, and plenty of free Target snacks (Evillaugh) in one with room to spare when 'zipped'.
We also use them for Christmas decorations, seasonal wreaths, kids clothes and coats (until I can consign them), etc. I could be a spokesperson for these things laugh out loud

Just moved over 900 miles with a mover. Packed blankets and linens in the Ziploc Big Bags. Nice to know where the linens are right away to go to bed! No holes, no problem and the movers were able to stuff them in little areas in the truck.

Do you guys think it is safe to store can goods, such as beans Big Grin, in a hot garage? Or would they just sit there and "cook" in their cans and be Yucky by the time I got around to actually using them??

Well, I personally don't keep can goods in the garage, but my dad is old school and believes kids should eat dirt to build up their immune system always tells me this when I mention something being left out like that...."Warehouses where these foods sit are not air-conditioned. If a food is not in refridgeration at a store, than it has never been in refridgeration."

Well, you have to wonder if they keep food in tempertature controlled storage units until they get placed on the shelves at the store. I guess it depends on how long?

Now tell me, there is nothing wrong with eating a bag of Birdeye Steamfresh white rice for dinner, right? laugh out loud
