This thread is being created so people -- generally, those people who can't seem to resist talking about off-topic junk in the Target coupon thread -- have a place to talk about shopping at Target and other miscellaneous matters.

All you folks who hang out in the Target coupon thread, start hanging out here instead! When you've got something relevant to post about Target coupons, please post about it in the Target coupon thread! We'd love to hear about it, but NOT about your dog, your cat, your mom, your genital herpes, your... well, you get the idea.

hello everyone Smilie

if anyone won't be using their $1/2 smartwater qs from the recent insert, I would want to trade (am stocking up for our long drive 2 weeks from now). I have some of the 1.50 kraft ranch dressing tearpads... thank you in advance Smilie
don't have any extra of those, but wanted to throw out that if you have a publix nearby there is a booklet with smart water bogo qs in it (14's).. The book says something about "waist" on the front and a curves ad on the back. If you don't have a publix, maybe you can trade for some. I have used a ton of these qs and am swimming in smart water at the moment but am out of coupons nowCool

Hopefully someone here knows if there is an answer to this problem I have. When I have my subscribed threads pulled up I sometimes accidentally "click" (with my laptop) on unsubscribe. This is terribly annoying trying to figure out which one it is and redo it! Anyone know if there is a way to take that option of my User CP page??

Sorry, IDK. I've never actually noticed that unsubscribe link in my CP until you mentioned it.

PM RedSolar (Admin) and see what he has to say.

One more reason to hate Wal-Mart Why Wal-Mart Supports an Employer Mandate [cato-at-liberty.org].

-snip-

Quote :
But it all became clear when the lobbyist explained the reason for Wal-Mart's position: "Target's health-benefits costs are lower."

I have no idea what Target's or Wal-Mart's health-benefits costs are. Let's say that Target spends $5,000 per worker on health benefits and Wal-Mart spends $10,000. An employer mandate that requires both retail giants to spend $9,000 per worker would have no effect on Wal-Mart. But it would cripple one of Wal-Mart's chief competitors.
So it has NOTHING TO do with the interest of people/employees, but has everything to do with Wal-Mart using the government to go after its competition. We saw what WM did to mom and pop stores, now they're after our beloved heart T! EEK!

Regardless of your position on universal health care, don't be fooled into thinking WM is doing this because it cares.

Oh please! Don't get me started on universal health care. Just being a part of the military medical program would be enough to scare anyone into NOT wanting this kind of system.

On another note....quit making me want to say OT things in the regular T thread! I laugh out louded!!

Update on the mango tree. Other neighbor told me that the sign was put there for the maintenance workers and locals. Apparently they came last year with HUGE bags and took all the mangos and the renter got almost none. (Should mangoes have an e? Scratchhead) Then they go to other places and sell the mangoes. Mad I don't want to sell them. I just want my jam and cello! Whee

*Wonders how many bottles of vodka she can afford to make LOTS of cello.* Coverlaugh

Even though I have great insurance, it didn't cover a lot of my alternative medical treatments. I disliked paying all that OOP, but I have to say I got the BEST medical treatment! My Dr. treated me like she was working for ME, which is how it should be. Some Dr.s think they're working for my insurance company. I wanted a test done and one Dr. wanted to prescribe pills FIRST. He said the insurance company prefers trying drugs first, then tests. EEK! Are you kidding me? I asked who he worked for: me or my insurance company. I took my business elsewhere, so now he works for neither of us.

Anyway, I can't imagine anything government-run being a step up. Wait til Dr.s KNOW they aren't working for you and see how things improve. Roll Eyes (Sarcastic)
