This thread is being created so people -- generally, those people who can't seem to resist talking about off-topic junk in the Target coupon thread -- have a place to talk about shopping at Target and other miscellaneous matters.

All you folks who hang out in the Target coupon thread, start hanging out here instead! When you've got something relevant to post about Target coupons, please post about it in the Target coupon thread! We'd love to hear about it, but NOT about your dog, your cat, your mom, your genital herpes, your... well, you get the idea.

My used stuff was full sized linens, baby clothes, a mini shop vac, an air blower from a bounce house my kidlets tore up, coolers, 36 napkin holders from my DH's restaurant, weird things but it almost all sold....still have 1/2 bucket of baby clothes, but they were winter things anyway so maybe they will sell if I do another sale in August/Sept.

It did seem like the peeps were either 'new' buyers or 'used' buyers....not many crossed over and bought some new, some used !?! But I am still super happy with the outcome....to the point that i have put the remaining things back in my shed for 'next time' instead of driving them over to the shelter like I should do.
You did great! Thumbsup Funny that they didn't cross over. But cool that they bought not new stuff too.

well, 14 is "just a number" but if you can use them, I'll be happy to send them your way. They are in the 40000 family by the way and I owe you from the beans Qs. I just don't think I saved your envie so PM it to me.

Does anyone know if there are ever 992s that are 16's? Pounce Qs are usually 992s when they are $ off coupons, so just wondering if anyone knew.

Teehee A friend and I both put together "several" lists and coupon sets last night and met at our first store at 8:00am. We allowed an hour for shopping and travel between each store and we stayed focused. The only change-ups we made in our lists along the way were to be able to pick up something at the next store that we saw at the previous store on sale or whatever. It was pretty organized and we didn't carry all of our other Qs with us so we weren't sidetracked. It worked out very, very nicely! Averaged a little over $200 or so savings at each store x4, so not bad! I actually ran out of room in my new RAV - I knew I should have gotten the Navigator!! LOL!

The filthy KM is the Lombard store. Gross-O-Rama! vomit
Ooooh, is that the one on Roosevelt Rd? I was only in that one once (and that was pre-SD days). I forgot that there was one there, thanks for reminding me, if I start shopping K like I want too, then that would be another one that I could hit on my home from work!
Have you been to the Forest Park one? I think that one is vomit
My co-worker's kid works at that one, so I am leary of going there Sadwalk

Was the total windshield today! Whee Whee Whee Several times before noon! Faint

GS stockpile is coming together nicely. I can hardly wait to get all of this stuff out of my garage!!

Found the most dirty, disgusting KM in the state of Illinois yesterday - vomit. I felt like I needed to disinfect when I walked out - but boy-oh-boy did they work my Qs like champs!! LMAO

Hope everyone is having a great day today ... I need a nap.
No kidding kmart doubles is killing me, and I have stuff everywhere now. In the Kitchen in bags everywhere, in the garage and totally covering the basement. I am so tired, but I have to get ready for the sale I am having tomorrow to get some of this stuff gone, so I have room to move around! My husband thinks I am insane with all the stuff, and at this point he does not care if it is free or not, he doesn't want to bring anymore home! laugh out loud But how can we pass up deals like Pur water pitchers that give $2.50 overage with the MQ & KQ? I am now the proud owner of 7 of these and told my mom and sister to expect one to come their way soon.

I hate to say it, but I'm glad the week is over, because I can't control myself not to go more if it was still going on! laugh out loud I seriously think I have a serious coupon shopping addiction.

As you all proolly know I'm preggers w/ #5....I am in a huge nesting phase right now...downsized DDs Full size bed to Twin so she can share with her new to be baby sisiter then went crazy clean and organizing my house.

I have had a couple of small yard sales b4 and have not done very well with them, I decided the space all my YS stockpile is taking is better served with crap we could use so I decidied to go big....did craigslist got lots o signs, lots o tables, loaded up the minivan w/out seats and drove to the in-laws who areoff of the main street here in our small country town.

Had all my used yard sale junk put there, big bucket of baby boy clothes I wont be needing and all of my stockpiles.....ended up being out there long enough to get sunburn on my face and made bounce $453.75.bounce I'm very happy with that.....donated all the used crap then boxed up my stock pile which is now cut in half.....was going to bring all the H&B to the womens shelter but I have done so well Im thinking about refilling and getting out there every 4 weeks.....Big Grin

How did you end up doing? I had a lot of people expect a deal on top of the amazing deal I was already priced at but most of the times I didnt mind.
I had my first stockpile/yard sale this weekend too.. I made $1000.00 and about $850.00 of it was stockpile stuffbounce bounce
I sold about 80% of my stockpile. I made a few deals with people on day one and wished I hadn't cause I sold out of some stuff early, but live and learn! Other than the stockpile stuff, I sold a couch, some baby clothes, and a few baby items (toys, stroller, shoes, etc)
Overall, I was very pleased, but am tired. I definitely plan on selling again when I get my stockpile built back up. And now I have a better idea of what to stockpile.

As far as selling old stuff with new stuff, it worked out fine for use. We had 4 families selling together and I was the only one with new things.. I think everyone did well and each person was looking for different things when they came.

This was my best yard sale ever. Our house has never been a good location, but this time we had it at a friends house on the main road. it was a pain to move everything, but it was worth it in the end..

I am off to bed.. too tired for any shopping this weekend.Wink

Yep, the one on Roosevelt... never been to the Forest Park one. I think the only "nice" one is the one on Gary. All others are Yucky!!

I wish I could sell 80% of my stockpile in a day, as DH would be so happy, but I have way to much stuff for that to ever happen. I'm lucky if I am about to sell even 10% at a time, but like you I usually make around $800 selling stockpile stuff in a sale. I don't sell from home, so I have to transport the stuff and I can't take nearly as much as I would like. Frown Also it seems somehow that even though I am having regular sales, my shopping is making my stock grow more than the selling is making it decrease. I am going to have to stop shopping for a while!

Today I made a Target run, and was able to buy another banquet table with my GC's from the softsoap deals and such, so at least I got something useful. I have 4 tables now, and would like to get one more eventually. Of course I got more softsoap and glade, at which DH just rolls his eyes. I really do love air freshners, and have several all over the house. These are also great sellers at sales!

I'm absolutely sickened by this while Cemetary thing. This is truly a new low - If you haven't heard the story, it's about a cemetary in Chicagoland where the office manager corroborated with 3 groundskeepers and dug up bodies/caskets and dumped the bodies and crushed caskets in a weeded area on the property. In some places they just smashed down the caskets deeper into the holes and put other caskets on top of them. Just unreal - unimaginable and sick as sick can be. The mastermind office manager is in a psych ward right now - all of this in the name of money.

How did they get away with this? Didn't the grave sites have markers and didn't family come to visit their loved ones occasionally? If they had caskets on top of caskets which casket had the marker, and didn't some families say hey why is their a new grave marker with someone else's name where my family member used to be?

I remember a story not to long ago, where a crematory was dumping bodies out back of their property, because the cremation machine had broke down and they didn't have or want to spend the $10,000 to get a new one or get the old one fixed I can't remember which. All the while collecting money from families who wanted their family member cremated. What I don't get or believe is why or that they couldn't afford a new machine or fix the old one, when doesn't it cost $750 to $1,000 to cremate someone? If that is the case it seems they could have paid the machine off with profit after 20 jobs or so.

This is a pretty old cemetary. The first cemetary in the state to allow black people to be buried in it - that's how old it is - though I suppose historically speaking, probably not that old. I'm guessing that most of the affected sites were the older ones that maybe just don't have many, if any, visitors anymore, although there are reports that many, many grave markers are just "missing". There was a pile of them on the property. An area that was designated for babies only is completely gone. It's a real mess. I couldn't imagine going through what these families are going through. I'm not good with cemetaries/death/funerals - I don't go to funerals at all - that's probably why this is having such an affect on me. Normally I just shake my head at the stupid atrocities that people commit and move on - this one is rocking me to my core.
