This thread is being created so people -- generally, those people who can't seem to resist talking about off-topic junk in the Target coupon thread -- have a place to talk about shopping at Target and other miscellaneous matters.

All you folks who hang out in the Target coupon thread, start hanging out here instead! When you've got something relevant to post about Target coupons, please post about it in the Target coupon thread! We'd love to hear about it, but NOT about your dog, your cat, your mom, your genital herpes, your... well, you get the idea.

Anyone buy the Purex washer/condition/dryer sheets? I bought the tropical scent tonight and I likes the wayz itz smellz. Big Grin Only 20 sheets for $4.79 and it says use 2 of it's a full load. Pretty pricey me thinks. Secret

Aww, thanks!! Smilie

I haven't bought the purex - thought it was a bit more than I'd want to pay. However, if there's a good enough deal I may stock up. I have a few ladies that buy stockpile stuff off of me, and they are good for any gimmick.

Sharon~ remember you mentioned the electrasol auction that was $7 for 10? Well it's up to $11.01 with 6 people bidding OMG
I'm watching it too... I'm thinking they've got auction fever or something!

Seriously, especially since others had 20 $2.50 coupons for $4.50 buy it now with free shipping a few days ago... If you thin kabout your savings.... That works out to 10 $2.50 coupons for $2.25 vs. 10 $4 coupons for $11+ (who knows how much they'll go for!). $25 vs $40 = $15 difference, but you are paying an extra $10 for those stupid $4 coupons, so you are only saving $5 and that's if they don't go up much higher! Doh

AND.... Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince comes out sooooo soon! woot I have it on MP3 if anyone likes to listen to books! Smilie

My BF and I also had some great KM runs today, the last of which was definately a STC run!! Who was it that posted that? Gotta find and rep!!

Edited to add it was bblueskye! Thanks for that! Love it!
I don't think I was the original STC poster - someone posts it every now and again, but that is what I call those runs. I'll totally be high-tailing it out of a store saying (in my mind) "Start the car" Coverlaugh

I am having a Doh moment but what is STC??
STC = "Start the car!" It's from an Ikea commercial. IIRC, A woman checks out at Ikea and thinks she saved way too much, so as she's heading out of the store, she's yelling to her husband to "Start the car" so that they can get out of there quickly.

I know I am being unfair (esp. since our own .teri. and Thrifty post there regularly). I'm just always : eek: by the random misogyny and homophobia that seems to flow regularly around here. But that's just me. . . . or maybe it's a big joke I'm not getting. : dontknow:

Well if you do the math....50 a load (we always have full loads) compared to P&G products...methinks it's pricey!

Speaking of buying q's....Does anyone else think Dede is getting less and less attractive to deal with? Her service is good. But her limits seem to get lower and her prices seem be higher than the competition.

I just got Pounce off Ebay cheaper than she is offering it. There seems to be a lot of competition from couponing services these days since Ebay is making it difficult for them to do business. The end result is...we win. Big Grin
Yes - I have purchased Q's from her in the past - but I also have been less enamored of her of late - I found Lorihas3kids (she has her own site off ebay) who I really like - she is so quick with her shipping and her prices are good and free shipping.

I bought one set of 20 for $5 free shipping - just because I was almost out of detergent and we NEVER get those good coupons! How much do you guys think is a reasonable price to pay - if free is not an option?

Ok - so how much trouble do y'all think a person can get into if one figures out how to (and does) climb over a locked fenced area to get into store dumpsters looking for inserts? No one has their dumpsters where you can get to them around here Mad ....... you would think the stores were throwing away pure gold ... well coupons ...... LOL

PS - Anyone have any of the Resolve Q's they would like to do a quick trade for???? I can't find any!

Locked = not for the taking in my book. I would hate to get charged with trespassing on account of coupons.

Sounds about right. Some of the coupon clipping sites have them for .20-.21 cents each. Then factor in shipping costs, if the site charges for it.

I don't think you're being unfair at all. I mostly post in there when I'm bored, or troubled. You'll all know when I have trouble in my life, or illness in my family. Posting in there is mindless entertainment, when I'm not here, or there, I'm on POGO playing hearts or yahtzee. SD is a very large community and people will come into all areas and post inappropriate things. Hot deals threads read like Playboy articles sometimes. If you read the posts in that thread, you'll see that for the most part, the 'regulars' were the ones telling the others (who come from out of the woodwork sometimes) how sick they are. But yeah, I wonder why that thread is still around too.

The lounge kinda reminds me of the Jerry Springer show. Coverlaugh

I've bought from her too, and have been very pleased. There's a couple other decent sellers, and a few I will use when in a pinch.

Well... I think this is just not my week. I don't know how ya'll do it (any advice?), but I was the bug again this morning. Baby was super cranky, but I was determined after scraping myself off the windshield of the first store and went to another store. Unforutnately, just as we walked in the door - baby had a meltdown. I really should've known better, but it's hard to hold off when we only have 1 car and limited time for me to use it. Guess I gotta learn to skip the deal and put the baby to bed.
