This thread is being created so people -- generally, those people who can't seem to resist talking about off-topic junk in the Target coupon thread -- have a place to talk about shopping at Target and other miscellaneous matters.

All you folks who hang out in the Target coupon thread, start hanging out here instead! When you've got something relevant to post about Target coupons, please post about it in the Target coupon thread! We'd love to hear about it, but NOT about your dog, your cat, your mom, your genital herpes, your... well, you get the idea.

I worked on the car seat (this is for grandma/pa's car) and did find that it seems way lighter than the Sunshine Kids one we have (that thing is steel, I think). DD seems to like it, she kept wanting to sit in it.

!

I can carry two marathons at one time, but just one radian. They ARE heavy! It is the complete steel frame-which is a bonus cause it gives that seat an 8 yr life Smilie Glad you finally got one. Might look for one tomorrow, like I need one...lol

Coverlaugh Yeah the Radians are heavy. I'm so used to working with it that the Britax felt so flimsy! It's a good seat, the Marathon, so I'm not worried about it at all. Just hope I can get it even cheaper!!

One thing about the nautilus, you aren't supposed to have any overhang of the seat from your car's seat. ..... But with the Frontier, you can have (IIRC) up to 20% of the base of the carseat overhanging off the front of your car's seat.
I have the seats in the van so that isn't a prob .... but I wonder why?

Do ya'll have a church you attend? If we were to use a babysitter, it'd be one of the young ladies from our church - kids know 'em, they've been checked out thoroughly, and are really responsible.

Well I like them all lol! But it depends on what you need. If you dont have to put the seat next to another carseat or another person than I like the Nautilus-the price is great.

If you have a little more to splurge the Frontier, it also has side impact protection.

The radians are good if you have to fit seats next to each other, and then I would go with the 65 or the XT. Any of them will do the job though.

The side impact is not emphasized by some car seat manufacturers because there aren't standards in the US for such testing. It's somewhat of a marketing thing by Britax.

Here's a really awesome review/ comparison of the Nautilus and the Frontier:

eta last site is a blog, has some good car seat info.

You gotta be kidding me. I just told DH I used my last cesar coupon so no more dog food. Nice.

No internet here this week due to a power issue so on sparingly. Haven't caught up much but in my spare time I've been hitting Targets for the toy/baby clearance. I'll tell you, I found a pile of fisher price cash registers just sitting there marked 30%. Of course they were 75%. Doesn't anyone scan anything other than us?
