When you've got something relevant to post about Target coupons, please post about it in the Target coupon thread! We'd love to hear about it, but NOT about your dog, your cat, your mom, your genital herpes, your... well, you get the idea.

Ok, so I'm sitting here worried sick that my son is taking the Metra for the first time tonight with a friend. He's not even going all the way into the city - he's going to a decent suburb outside of the city so why am I so nervous about this? He's 16 and more independent than any kid I've ever known! I handed him my cell phone and told him to make sure he calls me if he has any problems what-so-ever. Let me tell you, when I was younger than him I took the CTA TO SCHOOL every day, transferred buses twice and never carried a cell phone. WTF? I need to LET GO. But he's my baby!

No, he does not have his drivers' license yet - I'm not ready - although I did tell him that this fall we'll start talking about it....

Dear Boss,

You are really Dead Horse when you tell me to work more and slickdeals less. Your Cold tactics and threats of termination do not make me Horse they simply make me Annoyed & Angry

P.S. Don't even think about disturbing me if there is a woot off. Hot deals, the lounge and a Woot off is a trifecta for me. So put that in your pipe and Smoke it.

Comfort

I am sure I'll be a mess when DD gets on that flight all by herself with no airline assistance in 1.5 weeks. She's never flown through Phoenix. She is independent and I know she'll be fine.

My favorite is when I'm typing an e-mail in Outlook (at work - or even at home) and I start looking for the smilies. I actually even type such things as ": roll :" and ": woot: " before I realize that the person receiving the e-mail is not going to have a clue wth I'm talking about shake head LMAO !
I do the exact-same-thing! I come close to using these smilies every day. I sometimes feel like I can't quite express what I need to without being able to use one of them LMAO

Comfort right back at ya. Phoenix, now THAT's a beautiful airport! Pretty straight forward too - unless you're driving to it Annoyed. I don't know why I always get lost driving to that airport - I have a feeling it's because I mentally just don't want to leave!

But I actually love arriving at San Diego Airport the best - no taxi time. Here at O'Hare you spend about as much time taxiing (sp?) through the airport as you do up in the air!

San Diego is a cool airport to fly into. You go from desert to mountains to ocean. The approach is really a small window. I've had 2 pilots miss it...awww shucks we gotta fly over the water for a re-do.

But that's nothing compared to the thrill of landing at Midway where you almost clip people's rooftops as the plane touches down! laugh out loud

Like 4 years ago I was flying back to Chicago for my graduation from grad school (I graduated Fall quarter, so this was December). We were circling above Midway when the pilot comes on and tells us we've been diverted. . . to St. Louis. Ranting

By the time we landed, it was clear that the only way I was getting to Chicago in time for my grad (the next afternoon) was if we drove. Frown We arrived at 2 AM after running into two guys from our flight at the car rental counter who offered us a ride in their rented SUV in exchange for some gas money. This is when I remembered why I heart living in the west. laugh out loud

So what had happened was that a plane landing at Midway had run through the retaining wall and OUT ONTO THE STREET that runs right next to the airport. We actually drove right by it and boy was it weird seeing an airplane sitting on an otherwise busy city street like that. The sad thing was that a child who was in a parked car on the street was killed by the impact. Sadwalk

I have never flown to SD - but O'Hare gets you one way or another EVERY time!!! And I swear they take great glee in cancelling flights altogether!

Oh that is awful!!!! I think the airports here are just nutty!!!! When I read your line about being rerouted to St Louis I thought - yup that is standard ops here I think! LOL

Thanks for the Oust PC.

PS - Can I arrange a trade or free babysitting or something for some of those Ceasar Dog Food coupons from Kmart? LOL
