LOL except I'm boycotting eBay and most especially Paypal after they scr.... messed me over. They tried to debit out of the wrong account not once, not twice, but 6 times before I closed the account. And yes, I called them each time to remind them that I had changed account info, they said it was notated and corrected. I had to repay over $100 in NSF fees on that old account. Mad So I refuse to use either service.
nod I'm boycotting them too after yesterday. I was interested in putting in a bid on an item (the one from Australia), but they wouldn't let me saying my account was locked due to not having used it in a while (it had been a few years) and so contacted CS and they tell me that I need to send them a whole bunch of stuff (personal info) in order for them to "unlock" it. shake head I didn't feel comfortable with that and so told them to close the account. I knew there was a reason I didn't use ebay for several years!

That sucks with the NSF fees and such! Sorry that happened to you!

Hi everyone...got some pretty horrible news today. Frown My sister and I are estranged - basically because she was a pretty horrible parent and lost custody of her sons(ages 3 and 6 months) to their fathers. We haven't been close in a long time, and I was even more Mad when I found out that she's currently 18 weeks pregnant with another child. (She's 27) Apparently her fiance was driving home from work on Friday and lost control of his truck. He was pronounced dead on arrival to the hospital.

I feel horrible for her, but I can't forget the fact that we are estranged for a reason. I can't and won't ever support the decisions she's made, but I feel that I have to do something. I know this is a heavy one, but does anyone have any advice/input?
Oh wow, what a tough situation (and so sad!)! hug Best of luck to you.

Oh yeah, went to WF yesterday and all they had left were the wheat mac-n-cheese (harvest wheat and 100% wheat). Got 5 boxes, but am wondering if they are going to be any good. All of the other boxes were OOS!! EEK! Did not expect that! laugh out loud Had a nice restock person go in the back and check for me as well and told me next shipment will be Weds (after the sale is over, Frown).

Also, $10/$10 JCP coupons?!? I need to find some of these... I echo Dec's question on whether they were regional and/or in mailings or newspapers? Thanks for any info you can share! Girly

http://www.paypalsucks.com/ Paypal is the worst company ever, but sadly, if you want to use Ebay, you are screwed.

what alternatives are there to eBay? Too bad folks are just comfy with them. The fee structure got crazy, and their lack of payment options is such a pain.

Pray

TMCWS~ I would also send a heartfelt card. Maybe write something in there about the new baby and a fresh start.

Some ideas (of course this is a delicate situation so you may want to word these accordingly, I'm just brainstorming)

I know it's hard living without the one you love, but you have a piece of him...
the decisions we make in life...
learning from the past and making you a better person in the future...
choosing to lose someone (the kids) not choosing to lose someone (fiance)...
*her kids didn't chose to lose their Mom Frown

These are just some ideas that may spark something for you. I honestly feel bad for her, but I know what you mean about being pi$$ed because she lost her kids. Reach out to her and help her change. Let her know how you feel about her past mistakes, but that you can be there to help her if she's willing to try and make better decisions. This may be a turning point for all of you.
hug Sending best wishes and strength your way

Just got back into Paypal (haven't used it yet) after several years - really just to be able to get the item I wanted off ebay...

Ebay basically made it so Paypal is the only option, it's the same company, so I guess they can do whatever they want. I got doubly screwed out of $400 by them. A buyer claimed her never got a $400 gift card I sold. I got delviery confirmation but not signature confirmation. Even though I had proof it was delivered to his address, all he had to say was that he didn't get it and they sided with him. Then, they repeatedly tried to take the $385 out of my bank account without permission. They were able to get some from a balance i had in my Paypal account, but then I closed the bank account Paypal was attached to and refused to pay the remaining $2xx. I wasn't going to get screwed over twice!

I still buy, because it's the best place to get coupons, but I hardly ever sell, and when I do, I make sure to get delivery confirmation for small items and signature confirmation for expensive items.

What I find even more crazy is that when I got screwed by buying a $100 Kohl's card that turned out to be blank, they were unable to get MY money back! Bunch of idiots over there.

Awww - you are a generous soul!! I bet they appreciate it!!! Was this a regional Q?
I think it was nationwide, as I know fleabay has them (it was a search that notified me that they had been mailed). They are good thru the 22nd, so plenty of time to use them. Like .teri. said, two formats... one cardstock (red and white) and one flap on the inside of a small catalog. Catalog has two teenagers on the front. Code with 7171 on the end is $10 off $10. 7141 is $10 off $25.

I NEVER get them mailed to me. The SIL gets them mailed, but I think she has a JC Penney credit card. They should have been delivered this last weekend, so you may be able to grab some at Post Offices and Apartment buildings with trash cans around (my best bet is always the recycle bins at the Post Office).

For your Penney's peeps. All those coupons scan $10 off, it is just up to the cashier to check to see what the value was.

Scratchhead Last time those coupons were out for Father's Day it took me to the last day of cashiering to realize that there was TWO different amounts. I scanned all of the coupons in for all totals greater than $10.

Usually I am the Evil cashier that makes you go back and get a wee bit more to get to that total. Hee hee. But $15 off I must of been an Dance13 that week. Wonder what I will be this time?

Guess it depends if I wear my glasses Bigeye while checking out the customers.

That is why you always pay with a credit card via paypal, that way when your card is blank you call your credit card company and do a charge back. When I paid with my bank account once for a $100 gift card the buyer cheated me of course. I never got the card. Paypal had some sort of protection, but only refunded $75 after I waited a long time. They said the other $25 was fees to collect, I was livid. My bank said there was nothing they could do, since I authorized the charge from my bank account. I was then advised to pay with a credit card or at least a debit card in the future, so that I had some sort of protection.

Not advised by ebay or paypal of course, but by my bank. Ebay and paypal wants you to pay with your bank account, so they can avoid the credit card fees and they can have control over the transaction. Since I have paid with my credit card, people have tried to cheat me it seems many times, mostly on gift cards, and I have had no problem getting charge backs for as much as a $500 gift card I didn't get. Paypal doesn't like it when you do charge backs, but imo tough crap as they don't do their job in getting your money back without making you jump through hoops. When I open a dispute I also call the credit card company at the same time and whoever can solve it first fine, but why should I count on paypal?

Don't think there is anything wrong.. Deals at Target lately haven't been too exciting, esp if you aren't looking for the toy clearance.. I haven't been in almost 2 weeks now. Of course, sad to say, I haven't cleaned the house eitherTeehee
