This thread is being created so people -- generally, those people who can't seem to resist talking about off-topic junk in the Target coupon thread -- have a place to talk about shopping at Target and other miscellaneous matters.

All you folks who hang out in the Target coupon thread, start hanging out here instead! When you've got something relevant to post about Target coupons, please post about it in the Target coupon thread! We'd love to hear about it, but NOT about your dog, your cat, your mom, your genital herpes, your... well, you get the idea.

And, LMAO about Extreme Makeover Home Edition!! I totally bawled my eyes out shortly after I had DD when I saw the show and my DH turned and looked at me and said, "What the heck is wrong with you?!?" Coverlaugh I don't normally cry very much (like hardly ever!) and so he was thrown for a loop. I do have to say that I've gotten much more emtional since I've had DD - and my body temperature is a lot higher!!

Exactly! Sometimes I'm the slow-poke who runs into that last one Q on a tearpad. At least that way I know what to come ask you guys for!
I always TRY to leave a couple on the tearpad, but they usually end up loose and fall off anyways! Doh

Had a great Wags, KM and T run today!! woot

I really dislike my KM, though. The cashier was telling me after she rang up my coupons (I had 17 total, including the TRIO ones) that it is ONLY 10 coupons, but she'll LET me do it this time. I looked at her and pointed to the neon orange sign right in front of her face (and posted everywhere in the store) that it says in the fine print limit 25 coupons. She turned red, and then said, WELL! it should only have been up to $2!! Meaning I only should have saved $2 total on my order. I Roll Eyes (Sarcastic) and explained to her that it means that coupons that are up to $2 can be doubled up to $4. shake head She looked at me blankly, and so I walked away. Whatever!!

Same here! Since having DD I feel like I am always hot, but my feet are always cold. IDK! Weird. But I am also much more emotional, I do not even want to think about how I would be if I got preggo again!!

I end up with the cardboard and that darn sticky tape that holds it on to the display, falls into my purse then my target peelies get stuck to the back of the tearpad. LMAO

I found a tearpad last week and was so excited, then looked at the expire date, 6/09.. Sheez.... Mad

I'm not a vet, but wanted to chime in a bit as someone who went to school for a l-o-n-g time. It is one thing if you aren't going to accumulate student loans, but be very careful if you are. I just managed to dig myself out of my student loans, which were in excess of what many people pay for a house. I figured I'd make good money and so the loans wouldn't be an issue. But once I started paying on them the reality of it hit me. Granted the payments weren't large, but who wants to pay for their education for the next 30 years (or more, in some cases). I saved like a fiend and put any extra money towards my loans. That said, it still took me more than 10 years of hard saving/paying to get rid of them.

Everyone likes to think that people aren't in it for the money, but you've got to be able to pay your bills and make a living.
I didn't make myself clear last night shake head

I did not mean they aren't in it for the money, they certainly do have bills, etc. However, they are not in the profession to knowingly make money. There are many other fields out there that you can make good money in (to have bills paid and to live comfortably). There are some fields in this world where it is common knowledge that you don't get rich but many people chose them because of the rewards/benefits to them. Veternairy is one of them. You won't be rich as a veternarian and some months you may not even break even, but the rewards are outstanding!

Now I've heard you could make quite a bit of money as a lawyer (and even a real estate agent with certain qualifications, IE a better economy) but I have no experience with this. If you are looking for a profitable profession it would be wise to chose one along those lines.

I hope that clarifies what I was trying to say last night. If not, I'm terribly sorry! I just cannot figure out how to put into words right now....

ok... I just found out that there are $2 reach toothbrush qs and I would like to get some of those and stock up for the parents. The thing is they are $8 on ebay EEK! Is there other places where I can get these Qs? Or if you guys have any, I would be very much interested in doing a trade. Please Big Grin

did this q come from the SS 6/14/09 insert? I checked the newspaper list of qs but there is no $2 reach q showing there, so im thinking its a regional one.

good enough! ThanQ.....

My plan wil be to book 2 nights, then 2 nights, then 2 nights and then contact the hotel that all 3 resevations are for me and we'd like to stay in the room w/out checkout....they wont mind, less cleaning for the housekeeping staff. and now Ive saved $90 on my 6 days Cool where we are going that is like nearly 50% off! in the off season.
That's what I was planning to do, but the hotel that I want seems to have a higher price online than what I was quoted over the phone? The savings would be non existent (25% off the room if I booked at least one week in advance, that would be a much higher value than the $30 off 2 days). So I just booked it directly with them.

I understand Smilie

Oh I agree about student loans. I never want to see another form for them ever. Part of the reason I have not gone back to school. I want to pay cash, no loans.

So slow on the boards tonight. Time for me to go finish my organization project anyhow. I procrastinated enough the last couple hours LMAO
