This thread is being created so people -- generally, those people who can't seem to resist talking about off-topic junk in the Target coupon thread -- have a place to talk about shopping at Target and other miscellaneous matters.

All you folks who hang out in the Target coupon thread, start hanging out here instead! When you've got something relevant to post about Target coupons, please post about it in the Target coupon thread! We'd love to hear about it, but NOT about your dog, your cat, your mom, your genital herpes, your... well, you get the idea.

DS went number 2 on the potty this morning!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That's it, a matter of weeks till this diaper stockpile is of no use except at night and long car rides. We are excited!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This kid is so good. He never ever comes out of the bed until we come get him. He gets a sticker every morning for being good in his bed. We were worried that he would wake up and start playing but he still sleeps his 12 hours straight.

Road trip for me again tomorrow with a hurricane coming. Lucky me. Sending DH dumpster diving in a bit to get me some more q's!

Teri~ was on your side of town tonight. Your K has a few Trio's now I didnt get any but noticed them there. Stopped into T for a quickie Teehee Cashier had to write the amount on the coupons so I did some quick shuffling to match them all up Roll Eyes (Sarcastic) I had less than 20 items but it was still a pain...and 5 of those were Spongebob toothbrushes. So I visited Guest Services before I left.
what did your cashier look like? did she have Marge Simpson hair? Like, 2ft. high off the top of her head, shaped like a honeycomb in a bright red/orange color? Click image for larger version

I LOVE that show. So is the bar a real bar and they use the outside as a prop, or is the entire thing fake??
It's a real building. Smaller than it looks on TV. I don't think it's a real bar though, just used for the show. I'll snap a pic of it for you when we go back by there. I love the show too. This season is better than last. Tonight's looks good.

I also LOVE LOVE Drop Dead Diva. My new favorite show. She is such a good actress!

If anyone knows of a site that has cool kids beds for cheap, let me know. We are specifically looking for a wood (real wood) captains bed with drawers underneath and a headboard that attaches with shelves on it. A sideboard with a shelf would be great too but not mandatory. A loft bed with the same features would be OK. Would want to transition to big bed in 6-8 months so have some time but we looked at target.com and it's mostly non wood, ikea has crap as usual and the specialty kids store is too expensive but we'll do it if we have to.

Thanks!

If he's transitioning from a toddler bed with rails, stack blankets beside him... laugh out loud My son has one of these beds, and it's about 2 1/2 feet off the ground. I have hardwood floors. The first week he had it, he fell out of it twice. OUCH! The first time he fell, I didn't have anything there.. but after that, I put a stack of quilts beside the bed for a few weeks until he adjusted to no side rails..

We just bought ours from a local furniture store in our area.. it came with a dresser, nightstand, bed, and drawers unit to fit under the bed, all wood.

I had my first run in at a store I havent been to in about 2 months where they argued the transaction vs. purchase! I had 6 of the free 2oz candle and she argued that since it said 1 per purchase I could use only one. But yet, these were LAST in my stack and she let tons of other Qs go with no issues, wtf? This was the GSTL. I called corp right there and had them talk to the GSTL (and LOD). While they argeed with me that a purchase was ONE item and a transaction was the whole thing, they said the store could make their own rules and limit. WTF? They didnt limit 3 things of butter or 2 of eggs or 6 candy bars or 12 renuzit, but they limit my 3 free candles??? I have never had issues there but I havent been in 2 months.... Stay away from Christina the GSTL!

That is awesome, congrats!! And DS, we bought the toddler one of those $40 Ikea Tolga bed frames. It's just basically two wire frame pieces with slats on top, almost like a twin futon. It's very low to the ground so that if my toddler does roll out of bed, he's only about 8 inches up. We already had a twin mattress and didn't want to go through the expense of buying a toddler bed & crib mattress only to buy a twin in a year or so.

And georgiasurro, congrats on the BFP! Smilie
