OH NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Poor little guy! That is awful! Sending HUGS HUGS HUGS & positive thoughts for a better week next week! I sometimes really really hate the Public School System .... sigh!
Weeping Today was not better. It was the first day I took him on my way to work. He freaked out and kicked, screamed, cried, and ran when it was time for me to leave. I ended up having to leave him with the social worker who was trying to drag him in the room.
I hate kindergarten. Down

Comfort

He'll be fine, they'll settle him down. I am sure he is working on some sort of project right now thinking "mommy who?"

Ryland went to school today and didn't even blink twice when I left. He was so happy to be amongst friends. Last year he was in 3K so he is familiar with the school. He has a late birthday (Sept 17) so no kindergarten for him this year.

Mofo and other Moms with kindergarteners hug

Been there Comfort It does get better, but it's not something you look forward to every morning. The teachers and staff are used to it and expect it, but it's still no fun. Can't wait to hear how his day went.

Oh no!! I'm sure it will work out soon. . . I used to work in a daycare in college and I remember even the kids who got sad when their parents left quickly got distracted with all the fun they had with the other kids. hug It's hard to see them cry like that though. Frown

Yeah...I know. It's funny b/c while I was relieved that the social worker offered to help I was also Annoyed b/c I'm a counselor too! It's always so much easier to help other parents than to help yourself in those situations. I alternated b/w wanting to burst into tears to asking him why he was doing this to me to telling him that I wasn't going to take him to school anymore, Daddy is (which is going to be true for awhile since Daddy still hasn't found a job).

I'm sure he's fine...but I'm also sure that Daddy is taking him tomorrow. He acts totally different for Daddy.
