When you've got something relevant to post about Target coupons, please post about it in the Target coupon thread! We'd love to hear about it, but NOT about your dog, your cat, your mom, your genital herpes, your... well, you get the idea.

Sorry guys - I hope all is well with y'all! I am down for the count --- started Monday night with a fever/exploding head/face & GI troubles that I won't disgust y'all with ... on just water in infrequent tiny tiny sips .... on a happy note no stuffy nose or cough! Anyway - I can barely think let alone catch up - just wanted to let y'all know I am thinking of you!

Instead of quickly going back to sleep after nursing he now lays in there making noises (usually not crying but sometimes) for more than an hour, sometimes up to 1 1/2 hours before going to sleep finally, or sometimes (like today) not at all before I go and get him.
Head Bang I just don't know what to do; I feel terrible for him and I can't get anything done anymore.

Thanks for listening you all and if anyone has any ideas, I'd love to hear them.
Maybe he is changing his schedule...cutting down on a nap...sorry not being very helpful...

Dia - Get well soon

Teri - Hope you are able to get to work soon and the docs realise it is nothing major...

On another note, I left the passenger side car door open last night...Yes it was open the entire night.....I take it as God's signal telling me to take care of the car....

DD is taking the afternoon naps in her underwear since yesterday...She had been getting up dry for almost a week so I moved her to underwear...We also went on a small shopping trip in big girl underwear last evening...I am so excited....

DS wanted to be in the underwear when he saw his sister getting a reward...But I am not expecting him to get up dry....He might bcoz he saw some pen in Publix that he wants...We will see...

completely off topic (when is that a problem in this thread?? Coverlaugh) but today while checking out the lady in front of me was chatting with a friend and told her she needed to tell her boyfriend to "slow his roll". I was cracking up not even knowing what that meant, but after getting home and looking up my old friend "Urban Dictionary", now I'm REALLY laughing LMAO

I'm going to start using this in the deals thread. As in... "hey, I know you want to buy 50 razors in one transaction, but you really need to slow your roll". laugh out loud

That is what I was going to say too.. can't remember how old he is exactly, but mine always seemed to quit napping sooner than others. I know my DD dropped the morning nap well before 7 months or so.. can't remember exactly. It was sad, but the nice trade off was the early afternoon nap became 3 hoursnod which gave me time to get more things doneWink

My daughter is 20 months now, and still takes a nap, but it is later in the afternoon. I know some kids still nap until they are 3 or 4, but I never had that with my kids.. Once they hit 2.5 or maybe close to 3, the naps stopped. Of course that could be because they didn't go to daycare and get up early. We are all late sleepers.

Good luck! Hope he gets the schedule worked out soon!

well, I can't get in to see the doctor until tomorrow morning. Might as well go to Target while I wait to see if I'm having a heart attack. Ranting Found a good tearpad for those with Harris Teeters. .75/2 vitamin waters. Will triple nicely. Also found 1.00 off hersheys/coke. I love this q....loved it better before the price of the snack packs went up from 1.00...
I'm sorry that you have to go through so much to go back to work, I hope you are feeling better.

mofome, good luck on the new job!

Dia, I'm sorry you're so sick! Hope you are feeling better soon.

I will freak when my kid stops napping. He naps from 230-5 every day. The only way it's later is if we put him down later. He also sleeps 11-12 hours a night.

I thought about that, but he's barely 7 months old and I thought that transition didn't happen unitl after 1 year. . .Confused

OMG, well maybe that is what's going on. . . Ahhhh this parenting stuff is so hard. How is anybody supposed to figure all this out!

He sleeps from 7:30 PM til 6:30 AM most nights. And I'm counting my blessings that that hasn't been interrupted.

so, he gets up at 6:30 every day? and when does he want to go back down? I would think that if he is getting up that early, he would be ready for a nap by 9:30 -10:30. My kids have never gotten up that early.. well, heck, never went to bed that early eitherLMAO If he is sleeping that long every night at his age, that is something to be very thankful for.. Maybe just give it a few days, and see if he goes back. It may just be a bad week.. growth spurt, teething, or who knowsConfused
Honestly, I can't remember the schedules of my other kids exactly, it has been too longCool but my DD has always been more of a 10p-10a kid. not exactly those times, but close.. It works for me cause I work evening shift at the hospital and don't like to get up early eithershake head

And yep, parenting is hard.. it is kinda a learn as you go process. What works for someone else might not work for me, and vice versa.

I usually shoot for an AM nap about 2 hours after he gets up for the day, then a PM nap about 2 hours after he gets up from the AM nap. He's never taken the third nap.

So, if he gets up at 6:30 AM, I take him in to nurse ~ 8:15, he's down by 8:45 AM. He used to sleep for 1.5-2 hours, get up say at 10:30 AM. I'd take him back in to nurse again ~ 12:15. He'd be down by 12:45, again sleep for 1.5-2 hours.

He is teething. He's also learning to crawl AND trying to pull himself into a standing position. All of which I think are contributing to his sleeplessness. Our doc said to expect separation anxiety to affect his sleep at this age as well, but most of the time he doesn't sound sad or scared, just awake.

I am VERY thankful for his nighttime sleep, really. I wouldn't be so concerned but this has been going on for a while. I checked the sleep log I keep on him. It stared about three weeks ago, but occasionally. For the last two weeks, it's been almost every day. Frown

And thanks so much. I really appreciate the advice.
