Crazy - thanks will check out link when I fire up my lappy.

Ok so baby is sleeping decent at night. Wakes up every 3 to 3.5 hrs until about 4 am. Then he squirms and grunts and toots for the rest of the morning. He'll cat nap between 4 and 10 am. For instance this morning he woke at 6:30 then cat napped from 7:45 to 8 (in his crib) woke up and now I'm trying to get him back down at 9. From what I've read 3-4 week olds only have 30 to 45 mins awake time between naps. Long story short I think it's the gas. What has worked for u ladies? Mylicon drops don't do a damn thing.

Agreed. Sorry to say, the only thing that helped with gas was his getting older. Frown

We had a lot of trouble with it-- more on the other end, though. I used to occasionally hear sudden screaming wails through the baby monitor when he had bad gas. A couple of good thwaps on the back later, and he'd let out a belch that sounded like it was coming from a 300 lb trucker who'd just downed a six pack of MGD.

If it get really bad you can do an elimination diet vomit to try and see if it's something you're eating/drinking that's giving him gas through the milk. I never got that far but did try observing if the gas was better/worse on different days depending on what I ate. Dontknow Could never find any correlation.

Is there a good deal on Propel? PM me if necessary, pretty please.

No word from Teri yet, huh?

Sorry about the gas, Thrifty. Only thing that worked for me with the mylicon was pushing his legs up to help him get the gas out.
I BF too so I guess it was something I was eatting, but haven't a clue.

I just got a link to invite friends to PineCone. AFAIK, I do not benefit in any way from referrals. Just thought I'd pass it along, bc if you're like I am, I'm always looking for easy ways to add a little more spending money.

Mylicon didn't work for my kids either. make sure he's getting good suction if you are breast feeding, and the nipple hole isn't too big if you are bottle feeding. In my experience, if they get too much air when they eat, they will get the gas pains. Is he gulping his milk?

back. Heart rate still up, so he gave me beta blockers. Nuclear stress test on Monday morning. Who knew my internist did stress tests? No waiting to see a cardiologist Whee If everything turns out ok, I can be back to work by Tuesday.

I quit with pinecone when they lowered the pay from 5.00 to 3.00, or even no dollars but would enter you in a contest...not worth your time anymore, but thanks for the link.

Agreed I did the same, wasn't worth it especially when some of the surveys could take as long as 30-45 minutes.

Does anyone know for sure if the Glade Tins are still on TPC for $1.66? I saw someone saying they weren't and others saying they were in the deals thread. I hope I didn't miss out, as I have been so busy with Kmart and Walgreen's deals I have hardly kept up with the Target deals.

Yay Teri!

Thrifty, are you taking Acidophilus?

I gave Madelyn Gripe Water. I always got it from Baby Superstore but I think they have it at local drug stores.

LEVSIN!!!! My pedi gave it to me for my youngests gas (he has bowel problems and had to have surgery) they worked wonders! It is a script, but I still use it now for the boys when they have tummy issues...Also watch what you eat. My youngest was BF until the surgery and then fed pumped BM after the surgery and lots of food would give him bad gas!

Thrifty - Sorry about the gas for you little one. Frown My oldest was the worst, and I never did figure out what bugged her so much. She did grow out of it - but was several months old. Mylicon didn't work for us either.

I don't play poker too often, but since I've been sick this week - well, I've indulged.

Signs you may be playing too much poker:

Baby runs around saying the following phrases at random:

1. "I gos pox a's" (pocket aces)
2. "AH! Sick! Sick!" (whenever something doesn't go her way)
3. "Donkey!" (as a random insult, or shortly after #2)

During the day I get good burps out of him. His night feedings not so much. He is crashed out and I still whack on his back to no avail. I really think this is the cause.

Yep he is a gulper when I nurse on the right side. Apparently the milk flows pretty fast on that side. Teehee

We've massaged his tummy, done the bicycle with his legs, but nothing seems to help.

Oh and Iagree on the Pinecone research thing. I quit when they changed the rate as well. Not. Worth. My. Time.

4BB, I've read a little about Gripe water, but have never heard of it before. Going to check out that link.

Ok it is 10 and he is finally down for his 2nd nap in 4 hours. Poor baby...1-2 hour naps are only a dream...big sis was a cat napper too. Sadwalk

Thrifty this is what worked for me - making sure to burp the babies after every feeding, changing my diet, bringing their legs together to their belly button...

My MIL's tip - Soak a little asafoetida in water, dip a cotton ball in it and rub it on the baby's stomach...

We used Gripewater also after Mylicon was useless. We also had to switch to the Dr. Browns bottles, but since you're nursing that tip really won't help you. Smilie

Have a great run at Publix and then a STFC run at T this morning. Found a cute little Jedi boy working in the garden department. He was so excited by my savings but even more excited when he looked at me and said "and all your coupons worked". I just told him that I always try to double check everything to make sure I got the right items. Teehee

I did notice that on the Alpo multi-packs there is a white (what looks like a T sticker) barcode on the top and then a regular barcode on the bottom. I flipped my pack over on the belt so that he would just scan the bottom. Just wanted to mention that because I thought a few people had reported some technical difficulty in that department. Wink
