The Klipsch RP Cherry Combo (The Color That No One Wants - All Newegg ShellShocker or promo prices):
Klipsch RP-250C (this deal) Center Channel Speaker $149
Klipsch RP-160M Monitor Speakers (pair) $249
Klipsch RP-260F Floorstanding Speaker (each) $249 x 2 = $498
With all the ShellShocker deals from Newegg lately, this price and the others above beat the RP bundle / combo posted by sr71 on 1/11/2022, total difference between the bundle and individual deals: $1026 minus $896 = $130.

Soundbars are a function of convenience, not quality. I don't think you should judge these like that. You need to decide how rich/full you want your audio experience to be vs. cost and convenience. A soundbar with sub may actually sound better to your ears than these without a sub, but a soundbar is typically a dead end for expansion. And also factor in the cost of the receiver vs. the soundbar that works without one.
Bottom line, if you are even talking soundbar, you may not be ready for these yet.
If you're starting out then I say Nope. You don't "need" a center channel when you're starting out.
1st priority is to get an AVR Home Theater receiver...and if budget permits...one that can do 5.1.4 Atmos (5.1 Dolby/DTS) with 4 Atmos object based speakers.
All you have to do is to set your center to phantom, toe in your JBL 570's so that your stereo image will mimick having a discrete center channel.
3rd, you don't even "need" a sub because you're just starting out. Once you've had a taste of subsonic goodness you'll definitely "want" a sub.
Don't be discouraged by the naysayers. We all don't have 10-20 grand laying around...
P.S. Do it right the 1st time and avoid any/all Soundbars. They don't have the capability to reproduce sound the way you need to for a proper Home Theater environment. Don't do it. Soundbars are for:
(1) People who are sonically deficient
(2) People who don't care about sound
(3) Settled for a soundbar because the wife said NO.
Nevermind. Found the answer on Denon website. These are still small since only they are only capable of high and mid frequencies.
When I was testing out various floor standing speakers (including both JBL and Klipsch), I was running with a Klipsch center and I can say that those two brands mesh well together.

I've personally been waiting on the Infinity RC263 to come back into stock and go on sale but it's been over a year since that last happened.
Would this qualify? https://www.monoprice.c
Also, in a 5.1 HT set up, do you still need 2 front speakers R/L if you have a 3 way center? TIA
