American Crew Fiber is what I use and it's on sale for $11.58 before FSSS. It's normally $15.73.

I recommend buying from another source to avoid counterfeits. As far as I know, Amazon mixes inventory in the warehouses between their own and those fulfilled by Amazon sellers. Only time to buy healthcare products from Amazon is if Amazon is the only seller of the product (for example, you'll see this on baby products).
The top three comments in the reviews talk about how it could be counterfeit.
It is the same price at Walmart if you deem WM trustworthy enough and has been available at that price for some time. I bought at that price in April 2021; bought 4 of them for free shipping. No issue with the quality of the product.

Wherever you get your American Crew, keep an eye on the code date. The creams and pomades and mattes don't last forever. The year of manufacture is the two digits which follow the "F" in the code date. Not sure about the rest - might be Julian date and a letter code to indicate manufacturing facility or packaging line. I'm sure about the year though, AC customer service explained that to me once

Body washes and shampoo I'll buy online because they don't really go bad, but I try to get my hair products in person - Ulta, Target, etc. - so that I can confirm it is not old stock. I have found some ancient stuff from time to time, especially in places like (gasp) Marshalls.

Thank you. I didn't even consider that. I still have some pomades that either weren't great for me, or I was doing something wrong... but either way, there's like you said, a chance of this being old stock definitely.

I have hair somewhat like Bradley Cooper from Limitless, but maybe a bit shorter. I'm not sure if many hair products will be effective for me. It seems like no matter what I use, I can't quite get my hair to look perfect

HIlarious that people think this is actually counterfeit hair paste. Crew products are just not as good as everyone makes them out to be.

Even then — the counterfeiter could have sold off all their inventory and removed themselves from the product. I keep questioning the purpose of my prime account and I've been onboard since it started.

The purpose is, when you contact customer service with Amazon, I've always gotten immediate and complete satisfaction. THAT'S what makes Amazon worth it, the customer service. For those who are afraid of the phone and insist on chat sessions or emails, I have no idea if it's as good. But I don't get the level of attention and care from any other retailer.

If you like this stuff, try splurging on the Paul Mitchell Tea Tree Shaping Cream. It's like this but better in every way.

Would you say this is the reason you don't have hair? Trying to find a safe product

I bought this product off amazon in Nov for $15 it smelled horrible and didn't do a great job so I returned it. I wonder if they're tying to move it faster due to a bad batch or something. I bought some Cremo brand hair cream and am impressed with it. It's easy to work into my hair it also smells great and leaves my hair silky soft when washing it out.

That seems to be changing over the last year or so. I, like you, thought their customer service bent over backwards all the time. That is simply no longer the case imo. I have had 2 of the last 3 issues taken up with them not be resolved. They basically didn't care. That never happened for me since Amazon prime started.

Just want to share, that unfortunately knock offs are an issue that we have to deal with today.

The bad part ~ even the traditional places we purchase from to ensure we had the genuine products is really not safe anymore. This is because many counterfeiters will sell to suppliers as "overstock" which then gets mixed into the normal supplies.

The good part ~ Most counterfeit products are legit copies of the original product, as the formulas are pretty much common domain in China, where most of these products are made.

My take-away .... No longer is the mom-and-pop places safe from counterfeit products. The best we can do, is have a place that allows returns and exchanges when a product fails to perform.

Also, for what it's worth products are sold by weight, not the size of the container. I would bet that the containers half full are still the 3oz of products. When I was a bit younger, I believe they used to be 4 or 5 oz per container. As they cut down on the product, they keep the container the same size. I am not saying you have to be happy with how they package it, but you are not buying a full container but specific volume.
Sure. What u say is correct cause you are the expert. Who cares if the Chinese cheat and sell copies that are the same formula. I doubt that is correct. They cheat and steal left and right. How do you know they don't use a few fillers that are cancer causing
