Another thing, although Lenovo mentions this to be a 300-nits panel for both 2560x1600 and 1920x1200 screens, it actually goes way over that, reaching around 380 nits and due to matte nature of the display, it is perfectly visible outdoor.
Regarding performance, here the TDP settings of 5800U is higher than the similar sized laptops from other brands like Asus Zenbook 13 and 14 or HP Pavilion Aero 13 and it consistently performs better than those with same CPU.
Why? 5800u is better in every way.

Thanks. Seems like the only con is the vendor and language regarding returns/warranty. Never bought from tiger direct before. Will do some research
Thanks for pointing it out.
They are pretty much saying in as many words you're farked as soon as you bought anything from any brand from us.
Well, I remember in the early to mid 2000s we used to get accessories from them, it was I guess circuit City and CompUSA stores. Wow, feeling old it looks like the distant past now, when we used to shop in these stores and Fry's who can forget that store.

HP Pavilion Aero 13 review: The Pavilion series is growing up
Decided for this ThinkBook 13s G3 with the 20YA0012US configuration . Compared to the Pavilion Aero, it is better built, includes W10P and a larger battery in under 2.8 lbs. Hardware capabilities of that configuration are along the lines of a MacBook Air M1 (although several benchmarks [cpubenchmark.net] have Apple's M1 over AMD's Ryzen 5800U). If you are considering this ultrabook, reading online reviews for the G3 5800U config will help set expectations (reviews of ThinkBook 13s G2 Intel i5/i7, G3 5600U configs are not equivalent).

Lenovo ThinkBook 13s Gen 3 (AMD) vs Dell XPS 13 9310
If your main use is gaming, 5800U ultrabooks are not the best alternatives. Consider laptops with Ryzen 5900H or Intel i9-11900H and a dedicated GPU. Tradeoffs of higher gaming performance will be shorter battery life and more weight.
Finally purchased this ThinkBook last week from TigerDirect. It was shipped the next day via FedEx Ground and arrived in 2 working days. The unit was new in a sealed Lenovo box. So far, it meets my expectations quite well.
If you are looking for this ThinkBook configuration, this is currently the best deal. Pricing is higher through Lenovo direct or other Lenovo resellers.
