Anybody have BCBSIL? I contacted Express Script since BSBCIL said they'll be handling it. I asked Express-Script and they said I need to purchase it from pharmacy and Walmart online isn't a pharmacy. The forms all asked for pharmacy receipt and Walmart customer service said I'll be getting a regular receipt if I purchase it. However, I think the Biden Administration said purchased from pharmacy or retailer 🤷🏻 ♂️. I hope that BCBSIL had a separate form for reimbursement like one posted here earlier for BSBS Michigan…

I guess I'm in the same boat.
I came across https://www.bcbsil.com/covid-19 and info linked there isn't real clear (to me) as to how to submit for reimbursement.
I don't see any reference to Express Scripts though
They clearly state

We will cover FDA-authorized over-the-counter diagnostic tests purchased beginning Jan. 15. You will be reimbursed up to $12 per test, up to 8 tests every 30 days per person. (For example, you can purchase 4 boxes that include 2 over-the-counter COVID-19 tests.)
They then state

If an in-network pharmacy can't submit your claim electronically, you can submit a reimbursement request.
With a link to pdf to complete but that's a "Prescription Drug Claim Form" and not sure how that could be completed as seems very specific to Rx claims.
I haven't had a chance to call them yet.

I think I was referenced to express script when I contacted BCBSIL initially.

Not if you're on a private insurance plan. Medicare and Medicaid don't cover it for some reason.
I believe Medicaid is covered but not Medicare

There's a difference between rapid antigen tests (these) and rapid molecular tests (Lucira). I went back to work after COVID with a negative rapid antigen test but I went to get a rapid molecular test the day after and it was still positive.
Thanks, good to know. I just ordered PCR from amazon anyway.
well, the virus will stay in our body for a long period of time. I'm not sure if you read that report said something like over 200ish days, especially in brain.
The "recovery" we are all talking about is matter of "level" virus in our body(not in spread level I guess?)

It says to take your test to the pharmacy counter to pay. This seems safer than using the form.

Processing a claim isn't complicated. The pharmacy is understaffed and overworked and can't stop what they're doing just to process claims for covid tests. I'm not sure where you worked, bust most pharmacies are not able to keep up with the work they already have. Anything the technician submits through insurance still has to be verified by a pharmacist before it can leave the pharmacy.
sorry, I went way OT.

Hopefully there will be some system for delivery/curbside pick -- since you know, we are in a global pandemic :-D

If you have Sam's Club membership they have them in stock limit 5 per member $14 each. Free shipping for plus membership but I think free shipping with $35 or more

Get 4 tests for free on the USPS website instead. These used to be $5 less, sad that in a time of need they gouge further.
It's because retailers had an agreement with the Biden administration to sell them at cost. That agreement expired already.
