I just CANNOT recommend this device at this price with its ARM processor limitations and the ability to get a much better Intel Surface Pro 8 for the same or a few hundred more.

I paid $999 a few weeks back at Bestbuy for an SP8 i5/8/256 which is even a better unit and includes 2 x Thunderbolt 4 and 120Hz refresh.

Specs for the SQ2 processor which is pretty terrible: https://www.cpubenchmark.net/cpu....Hz&id=4131

I bought this exact device last summer when TigerDirect had it for $700. I sold it because it wouldn't print to a color LaserJet on a Jet direct card, and there was no version of MS Office Professional Plus 2019 that functioned on ARM.

No, it's a tablet.

An $1100 tablet? You have to be kidding me. LMAO

Better have a x64 processor and run full on Windows.

Okay, this seems like a good place to ask my totally semi-off topic question. Longer version below.

My need is to have the most portable version of a windows device to run a native windows application while on the go. I was going to jump on a Surface Go 3 bundle from Costco and give it a try, then I saw this and instinctually thought it might be more powerful with a near similar level of portability. I clearly don't NEED more power or ports or else I wouldn't be considering the go, but when they come close in price it makes me think. Anyone want to offer an opinion?

I have a very specific use case making me need a very portable MS Windows device. I basically need to use it to run streaming software (likely Streamlabs) while on the go but I need the full desktop version for a few small features. I'd been using an Android phone and the remote app but i can't add a couple of key features this way.

Sounds like you want a 7" windows tablet.

Wait, you've been a member of this forum for over ten years, and you didn't know a Microsoft Surface was a tablet? You need to get out in the world a little more.

Sorry I'm too occupied buying $1000+ gpus and building PC's to pay attention to Microsoft's products. Last good thing they made was the Trackball Explorer. LMAO

There is almost nothing redeeming about this tablet. It's 13", which is nice (though 3:2, so less area than a similarly sized iPad), but that's where the value ends. It has all the drawbacks of a non-Intel CPU, a cloud-only use case 256GB of storage, no included keyboard for an OS that isn't really designed for touchscreen as the primary input, and - even if you bought a stylus separately - all the drawbacks of an nTrig digitizer. This might be a curious device at $500-$600. At $1100 it's just throwing money away.
