For those interested in the Samsung Q60A Series it might be worth taking a look at this AU8000. Overall, Rtings.com rates them nearly identical... and the AU8000 currently costs $250 less (55" size). The Q60A gets brighter and has a WCG w/ better color volume... whereas, the AU8000 has better: motion handling, reflection handling, and gradient handling.

Don't pay for a Samsung with poor black levels. Your much better off with Amazon's current Hisense H9G for $500 for their current sale on the 55 inch

I don't know if it's necessary, but the prestige of HDMI 2.1 is a plus at any refresh rate.

HDMI EARC on 2.1 for more sound profiles such as uncompressed surround sound is the only reason I can think of.

I'll second this. Far higher contrast, brightness and local dimming for the same price, it's a huge jump in image quality.

+1!

Got a u8g for gaming; otherwise a bigger h9g would have been my pick.

Replacing an old 55" TV currently mounted with https://www.monoprice.com/product?p_id=5916. Are these old mounts compatible with this type of TV? I see mini/VESA/slim-fit compatibility but wasn't sure if these are replacing old mounts completely or if the screw holes are still universal. TIA.

God I miss when eBay didn't charge tax, it was the main reason I shopped on there.
