Serengeti is not a Luxottica brand. They make fantastic sunglasses. Choose Amber lense if you plan to use the sunglasses for driving.

Bought several pairs of Bolle and definitely not fake. Troll.

Just a note. Most Photochromic lenses would not darken inside a vehicle since the windshields already block UV light. Photochromic lenses darken when exposed to UV light. I only know of Transitions® XTRActive® lenses that work inside of vehicle because they change based on visible light.

Serengeti customer support is nonexistent, fyi.
That really doesn't matter. Eyedictive is not an authorized reseller so there is no manufacturer warranty anyway and the manufacturer will not offer any type of support.

It still matters because when I emailed them asking about repair or replacement options, I never specified where they were purchased, and I still never got a reply from them.

Big fan of serengeti and eyedictive. That said backcountry is having a big costa sale right now. Many are around this price and glass lenses are just a little more
Everything backcountry sells is dead inventory. 2-10 years old.

I was referring to this particular Eyedictive "deal" only. I agree that it matters if you are buying from an authorized reseller where there is a valid manufacturer warranty.

The same goes for Eyedictive. Everything they sell is old, discontinued and obsolete inventory.

I'm so happy to see this. Had a pair of Maestrale back in 2010 and they lasted a while (won them from the Serengeti rep when working at Academy) and never wanted to pay $200 for new pair. For $70, I'll probably grab a couple, since these were the only pair of sunglasses that truly fit me comfortably.

I'm almost tempted. Honestly if these were $50 I'd probably bite and try them out but for $70 from a less than stellar website for a pair of sunglasses that have low/medium chances of fitting me comfortably just don't seem worth the risk.
There's no risk. I bought a pair of Bolle and then a pair of these Serengeti and these are original and brand new. Good customer service from Eyedictive as well. No issues whatsoever.

I ordered sunglasses from this deal (Jan. 20th) and they arrived yesterday. I've ordered from Eyedictive before. I have no doubt the glasses are authentic. Serengeti makes fantastic lenses and I would recommend them, the drivers in particular.

That said, the Bergamo glasses I ordered have me confused. The box says PhD 2.0 lenses (Trivex) but the glasses have Mineral lens stickers on them, which is what Eyedictive claims. Bergamos on Serengeti's website come with PhD 2.0 lenses. I ordered the Levanzo as well (with trivex lenses) and they feel quite a bit lighter. Is there any way to be sure if the lenses are glass or not without scratching them or risking damaging them?

Just got my pair of blue Nuvolas. I was worried about any number of things jumping on this, but was convinced they were at least authentic Serengeti's. They arrived today and I couldn't be happier. They look great, are extremely lightweight, and they fit like a dream, even on my big head. Have been pretty happy with Slickdeals lately.

As for Bergamo - on Serengeti's site: black/sedona - "Available in polarized ultra-light mineral lenses", as for black/green: "Available in non-polarized and polarized ultra-light mineral and PhD™ 2.0 lenses", so if sticker says 'Mineral' + weight - should be glass.
Waiting on mine as well - update - just got mine, Bergamo, glass - compared with my other Sedona in Brera, identical
