Replacing a pair of ten-year-old Serengeti drivers that have nylon lenses starting to bubble from being left in the sun in a hot car. Pretty long life for a pair that was on sale in late summer at Sam's Club for about 40% less than retail. Happy to get this new pair for 60% off retail here.
That said, the Bergamo glasses I ordered have me confused. The box says PhD 2.0 lenses (Trivex) but the glasses have Mineral lens stickers on them, which is what Eyedictive claims. Bergamos on Serengeti's website come with PhD 2.0 lenses. I ordered the Levanzo as well (with trivex lenses) and they feel quite a bit lighter. Is there any way to be sure if the lenses are glass or not without scratching them or risking damaging them?
The manufacturer website says no where do these 8810 come with Mineral Glass lenses

I emailed Serengeti directly to ask if they ever made them with Mineral Glass lenses, if not I'll do a charge back through my credit card.

I compared the weight to my wife's Serengeti's that she purchased from Sierra. Also nylon frame with glass lenses, and hers are much heavier. I'm nearly certain the Bergamo lenses are not glass. I ended up returning the Bergamos to Eyedictive on the 28th, not because they aren't glass but because I didn't like the fit, and received a refund yesterday. Paypal should pick up my return shipping. That said, they are still very nice glasses.
