90% of all pumpkin seeds consumed in the U.S. as seeds or in baked goods or in cereals or in snack bars are from China. Fresh baked goods from your local neighborhood organic bakery contain Chinese grown seeds. If you consume any of these then you are already enjoying Chinese seeds. Go Raw seeds are imported but sprouted and packaged here.
U.S. production is limited to small farms which mostly produce gourmet hull-less seeds from the Sryrian cultivar which are readily identifiable by their large size and dark green color. They may be ordered directly from Wilderness Poet. Superseedz also offers these superb seeds which I can not reccommend highly enough if they fit your budget..
COSTCO: No one has been able to replicate the alleged "cheaper at costco" product mentioned by some in the thread. They refuse to give warehouse location and the item number is dead on costco.com.
edit: 1/26/22: Vitacost.com carries domestic pumpkin seeds grown in the PNW and NYS. Coupons stack. Free sh and 15-20% off discounts are regularly offered via email. Safeway Bay Area now has quality fresh green raw seeds in the bulk foods isle $6 for 11 oz.

Organic - yeah, right.
90% of all pumpkin seeds conusmed in the U.S. are grown in China. Bob's Red Mill China. Local organic bakery muffins China. All bread and snack bars use China seeds.
Organic - yeah, right.
Pumpkin seed quality varies tremendosly. The seeds suffer from poor handling. P.S. oil degrades easily. Go Raw are the common hulled variety with hulls removed. People in the know only buy p.s. raw and unsalted. The Styrian cutivar originally from Austria produces large oil-rich seeds which are naturally hull-less. If you can afford the best Styrian seeds are the ones to buy. Superseedz are Styrian.

Post a costco item number in these threads so folks can verify that it is the same item. If it is not uncooked sprouted organic then you might as well post the 50 pound bag of bird seed. If it is then they still need to call their warehouse. Seeing an item in one Costco warehouse hardly assures universal availability. I've alread stated that S Jose warehouse only has one type of pumpkin seed and it's 14 oz Go Raw with a price which is is 30% higher compared to this deal with 15% S&S.
Why do people complain about the origin of these seeds when they regularly consume huge amounts of pumpkin seeds from China in baked goods, in energy bars, in cereals in snacks and in protein powders? 90% of all pumpkin seed sold in the U.S. is imported from China.
Only one type of pumpkin seed is superior. This is the Styrian or Austrian cultivar which is naturally hull-less. Expect to pay $20 / lb for more for these. U.S. producers of edible pumkin seeds are scarce and those that exist are small growers producing gourmet Styrian hull-less.
My understanding is that Go Raw has stringent quality control on seeds which they import then sprout and package here in the U.S.
