Amazon has the same price, for those who have the amazon prime reward card.
I bought it last time and so far it works well. 7450M/s for reading and 6450M/s for writing.

For the downvoting people. Yes Adata Did and does swap components so all their performance claims need to be taken with a huge grain of salt.

I bought an AData XPG SX8200 Pro that was listed at 3500/3000 at the time of the order;
My tested performance NEVER got close to listed values;
After a while AData revised the product and changed speeds to 3350/2350 !!! which is closer to what I'm getting, so I can say
"I WAS TRICKED by adata to buy their product"
I will never buy another adata again, so to you I'm saying
Good luck!

I would recommend the WD SN850 I have a 2tb installed in my PS5 and it works perfectly and is faster.
There was one on sale for $140 previously. I would keep an eye out for that or the Samsung 980 pro.
Both are comparable.

I don't have PS5, but I had all three of these drives at 1 TB each. Tested on both of my machines with MSI Z690 DDR4 (3200 and 3600) boards.
The S70 is 7100r/6200w. SN850 is 6500r/4500w, samsung is 6600r/4800w. Interestingly, I bought and returned S70 500GB version because it only matches my 500 gb 970 EVO plus gen 3 speed even though it is gen 4. Not sure it was part of the bait and switch batch but make sure you test them... They all should be 200-500 off of their advertised spec.

Waiting for this drive:

So ADATA is a culprit of bait and switch, but so have every company. Even Samsung, although Samsung actually made the change on their EVO to be slightly faster but almost a lateral change instead of a downgrade.

I don't know about quality of their drives but this has been the normal price for a while. At least weeks? Slickdeals is a joke now, lol.

Wasn't the Adata one of the manufacturers caught changing SSD components last year?
Yes they did.

You are correct man. You really had to sort through the numbers to see which version of the SSD had the higher speeds. What a joke. I moved on to more expensive Samsung and WD. Not cool of Adata.

Yep, but that was their low end nvme drive. The chip shortage has caused most manufacturers to have to substitute hardware. It doesn't excuse the fact that they put slower hardware on the card without disclosing it to the customers and reviews, though. It was a shady move, and they knew what they were doing.

Looking for an SSD for my PS5. Why negative on this? Seems like a good price. Is it because speed isn't as good as WD or Samsung?
Probably because it hit this price at Black Friday and has pretty much stayed there depending on the retailer you're shopping. Or people mad about the "bait and switch" some manufacturers pull, with ADATA being one of them.

That said, if you get this drive, the included heatsink is actually a heat spreader, so for best performance from this drive, spend another $10 and get a heatsink like this one and toss the included one in the trash:

QIVYNSRY M.2 Heatsink NVME 2280 https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08G823...UTF8&psc=1

I have this drive in a PS5 and it benchmarked around 6300MB/s which is lower than advertised but exceeds the 5500MB/s recommended speed

PSA. Don't be disappointed when the XPG Atom 50 releases for $120. $10 lower than this deal.

I own the 2TB version and it is insanely fast, even faster than the current Samsung and WD flagships. It only gets beaten by the absurd bleeding edge top of the line from Kingston and Seagate. I recommend it, but XPG/Adata has been known to downgrade the drives with worse parts without changing the SKU or the listing descriptions. You will get an amazing drive at a killer price, but when you tell a friend that the drive is great in a year, they might not get the same drive you did. Keep this in mind when doing business with XPG/Adata.

I bought this drive the other week when it was 130 on amazon. I can say that I got the advertised speed. Coming from a 970 Pro Evo. TBH I really don't feel any difference in everyday use.
