Price was marked on shelf to $224, Brickseek was accurate, 3-4 on floor and 4 on top shelf. Battery had one bar on it left so waiting for it to charge up

They also have other Toro 60v on sale.

String trimmer with 2.0ah: $84

Chainsaw with 2.5ah: $129

They also had the blowers but didnt see price, and i see a Hedge Trimmer on clearance, but didnt see the hedge Trimmer in store.

Grass definitely needs some power to cut properly, especially if it's thick or you want to mulch.

Just picked one up at a Home Depot near me. Only one left was up on the rack pre-built, however brand new, plastic still on it, with manuals, battery, and charger boxes all sealed. I already have the Toro 60 volt snowblower which is totally awesome so this was a killer deal for me. Thank you!

Toro usually makes good stuff. Could be a good deal but I'm not sure I would really buy into the Toro battery platform as they may only have a few lawn care equipment tools on their proprietary platform. I think for most folks they would probably be better off buying into a larger battery platform like Dewalt makita and Ryobi which the batteries are interchangeable with other tools

Agreed. Even at that price, a Ryobi makes more sense, and is periodically available on clearance.

And Ryobi replacement batteries are more easily/less expensively available.

PS, I have the Ryobi 40v system, and love it....

None of those brands offer the same power as Toro.

If you have to mow a decent size lawn regularly, 56V like Ego Toro or better really makes a difference.

If you are a tool guy who occasionally has to mow a small lawn, the tool brand mowers are excellent.

Are you talking about "power" or battery life?

Trimming grass doesn't need "power".
Grass definitely needs some power to cut properly, especially if it's thick or you want to mulch.

I own the Toro 60v mower, I usually use it just side discharge and not mulching. But it has a ton of power and can go through super thick grass when I have been lazy and didn't mow for 2 weeks. Also the metal construction feels sturdier than a lot of the Ryobi or Ego ones I looked at when shopping for a mower.

Have you tried the Ryobi or are you just speculating about it's "power" to cut grass?

Given that my Ryobi 40v snowblower can throw 9" of snow 15-20 feet, I find it hard to imagine that the same "power" can't cut 1-2 week old grass just as easily. (I'm not talking about foot tall, 2 month old grass).

Allegedly there are 55 of them in stock in Portland but the price on Brickseek just says 'clearance' so no telling actual price here.

This model doesn't have side discharge.

I have this model and used it all this past summer. It works well and can mow about 10k sq ft with the 6ah battery. Don't expect this to be a one-to-one replacement for a gas powered mulching mower, though. It cuts fescue and bluegrass well if you're growing it around 2-3 inches, but if you keep your lawn short with frequent mows this will struggle.

The design of the deck doesn't allow the bagging function to work well, so I mostly use it as a mulching mower. Towards the end of the season when I was getting ready to oversee my lawn, I lowered the blade to about 3/4 of an inch and this mower really struggled. I had to borrow my neighbors gas-powered mulching mower to get it done.

Don't get me wrong. I really love this mower but if you're wanting to use it as a serious mower for a large lawn, this might not be the best option. Toro does make a 60v super recycler version of this mower which has side discharge, and it has more power from what I understand. I'm pretty sure this mower was a sku made specifically for Home Depot to meet a price point.

This mower doesn't have side discharge, you must have the super recycler version with personal pace.

Darn straight they make good stuff. My mom used to make their stuff. I remembered going to see her at the factory when I was a kid

As for batteries what? I am perfectly ok using my Dewalt tools separately from my lawnmowers lol

They're just batteries
