How is this compared to some of the other recent gaming headset deals?

Looking at the main website, it looks like the 7.1 Surround Sound is only available for Windows 10 and you have to purchase the app on the razer website to be able to use it. There's a code in the box of these headsets that entitle you to a 50% coupon for the app by the way. Kinda wanted to get these as a backup to my Steel Series, but I'm gonna pass for now since I was planning to use them for the PS5.

can you not just turn on windows sonic for free in the sound settings?

As I said: I just saw a non-Razer headset in SD, a 7.1-channel wired headset, but that headset is only $12.50, I don't know why Razer's headset is discounted by $30, but If it were me, on the premise of the same channel and 7.1 surround, I would choose the cheaper one, and this one would cost around $5 for shipping
