Just FYI..This requires 9.2 receiver..
1200 or so for a 9 channel receiver. This product doesn't make sense. 600 or even a 1000 in speakers and then spending 1200 on a receiver is absolutely backwards. The majority of your home theater sound budget should be spent on speakers. The greatest factor in your sound.
Well, technically it only requires a 9.1 unit, as there's only 1 subwoofer...

Edit: Please add Costco to the title, as you have to pay for a Costco membership to be eligible for this deal...

I currently have HT-A7000 sony soundbar with 300W wireless sub in my bedroom which in about 25 ft long. Do you think this would be better replacement? I could still return the sony one. Since my bedroom is upstairs I can run my wires through attic for clean look. Thanks

For me the height of the speaker is very important as I would have only 30 inches left under the projector screen. Any other recommendations are welcome too

With that distance and listening area the reflection point for those built in Atmos modules(front & rear) will be way off. You will have to buy a 9.1 4K (Atmos) receiver which would be another pricey cost.

If this was better I'm not sure it would be worth the investment ($ and time) .

IMO that type of environment is what soundbars are designed for, no wires or receiver and better sound than the tv.

Thanks for your reply. I should have mentioned that most of viewing will be done from 17 to 18 feet distance (150 inch screen)

So this is a bedroom converted to a dedicated room?
If so I'm guessing it's not an acoustically transparent screen?
If so you need the speakers to go under or the side of the screen?

Here is what that layout should look like.

Don't over think it, if you find the soundbar amazing then you are done, this is all subjective!

What anyone else thinks is pretty irrelevant IMO.

Another thing I dont like about receivers is they are so bulky and i dont understand why they have give so many inputs in this day and age where everything is run off apple tv. At least they should make lighter ones, perhaps they are there?
