Inspired by https://slickdeals.net/f/15580837-toro-60v-self-propelled-mower-clearance-ymmv-224 - looked into getting one, but vary of the battery. Noticed one of the stores in my area on brickseek have XML03CM1 as 'clearance' (Pasadena, MD). Took a chance, drove to the store, and found about 6 of them on the very top of the shelves in the garden area (not on display, not marked marked down, nothing). They ring up at $250, item 1005-796-806.

Happy hunting!

I've used this particular model for a year and recommend it highly. Great price if you can find it. If you have enough batteries, sell the 4.0mAH ones and the slow charger and get it at a ridiculously low final out of pocket price.

Maybe check brickseek and see if any of the stores have it as 'clearance'? There are some new posts in the toro thread, indicating other toro stuff is on sale as well. If you can find it and stock up on the batteries - should be pretty decent as well.

Good to know. Ridiculous that they bundle the slow charger. I've just started on Makita and picked a fast charger and two 5.0 battarias off fleabay for $160. I'll probably keep the 4.0 that came with the mower for the time being.

Does anyone know if SoCal still has a rebate program on electric lawn mower? Thanks!

Anyone with experience with self-propelled and push mowers able to comment on this? Looking to leave my loud Honda self-propelled gas mower behind but not sure if I push mower is the answer after only ever using self-propelled.

Note that it is NOT self propelled.

Electric ones are generally much lighter than the gas ones and don't really need a self-propel features. I've been using a corded electric for many years and never felt a need for any assistance.

That said, if your yard has a slope or you are generally an older / weaker person - you might still prefer a self-propelled (which this model is not).

Self-propelled is a godsend for gas mowers, as it was a workout to finish a 3/4 acre yard, but unless you have a sloped yard you shouldn't need it. I tried out my neighbors Ego mower which weighs nearly 70 lbs and it felt incredibly light and took no effort to push. The specs on this on say product weight is ~60 lbs.

I've had a non self-propelled GreenWorks mower for 4 years or so. My wife likes cutting our grass (yard has slight incline) and uses it with no probelm. My Dad had a landscaping company growing up, so i've cut my share of grass... You won't miss the self propelled unless you have a steep incline. It's also very nice doing virtually no maintance, no gas, and no oil. The technologyy has changed a lot since I bought the GreenWorks, but my biggest gripe is it doesn't handle tall/thick/wet grass very well and sometimes I have to cut the yard 2x. That's the only thing I miss about the gas mower.

I am in the Makita tool line and have loved all of their tools, so i will be upgrading to a Makita one once my current one craps out.

What exactly makes this a "commercial style" mower?
