This is with bestbuy, so no bill credit involved, it's instant trade in value that deducts from the sale price, and tax is on the deducted selling price too. Don't mislead others.

ATT is $100 cheaper further. $500 for mini and $600 for regular. But trade in values are horrible.

T-Mo is still the best in value overall.

For those asking about how this impacts EIP... my wife had an iPhone 12 on EIP last year. I traded her phone in during the initial promo last fall for an iPhone 13. Our account still shows as her iPhone 12 being on it and we're still getting credits without issue. As long as you don't notify T-Mobile of anything, they won't have any clue. I have no idea what Best Buy does with these.
I am also planning to do same. So where you able to upgrade same line as EIP or a different line ?

If you pay off the phones, the credits may actually stop. For that, no one is sure how the deal is actually set in TMobile's auto billing software system - it's all automated algorithms. I have talked with some really experienced TMobile reps at their deal desk. Just trade in the phones with the balance owed, keep paying the balance till your EIP contracts end. That is basically your consumer's bank loan, just keep paying it regularly.
Not true. If you pay off the phone, credits will not stop. They move to account level as credits.
I have a promo credits running like that in my account.

I wish I can trade 2 fones at once?
Then people will start buying cheap total wireless iphones and trading it in for iphone 13 pro max. Which I think is not good business for Bestbuy or T-mobile.

I had that tmobile $20 talk/text in December when they had this deal but at $100 but I cancelled the $20 line so can I reactivate it now and jump in on this 24 hr deal?

If so how since I can no longer log into my account since when I cancelled they said the line AND tmobile account will also cancel so no access online to reactivate.

I used the $20 line for trade in at Best Buy an hour after activating it. So you might be able to catch this deal if you can go to t-mobile store and open/restore an account?

And just for clarity they are not obligated to any contract or bill credits etc right? Just month to month and they own the iPhone 13 outright?
If you have tmobile service (almost all personal plans, no business plans), you can upgrade your phone at best buy and trade-in a phone from any carrier, regardless if the trade-in is active on your tmobile lines. So in your case, trade-in your wife's verizon iphone. The new iphone is yours with no contract IF and ONLY IF you choose the full payment option on best buy.

If you do not have tmobile service, you could signup for tmobile service at best buy (online or in person) and trade-in. However, better deals are available if you signup elsewhere, and upgrade at best buy the next day. For example, signup 2 lines through costco and get a $300 giftcard. https://slickdeals.net/f/15570151-costco-byod-get-300-for-adding-a-t-mobile-voice-line-stacks-with-new-2022-bogo-line-offer?src=SiteSearchV2Algo1

Tmobile plans have no contract.

I have both. I have ones I paid off because I sold them unlocked and ones I did not pay off because the buyer was okay with a T-Mobile locked phone.
If you didnt payoff then tmobile can blacklist that phone you sold and then buyer cant use tmobile service anymore.

I was in the same situation. I also called TMobile, and they also explained to me that I need to fully pay the phones and that will basically negate the credits. In reality, Best Buy doesn't have idea what arrangement you have with TMobile about these phones, and it doesn't care.
TMobile's EIP is a financial agreement with you on the line, i.e. as far as you don't change that line, they credit you for the amount loaned to you which you used to buy a phone from them. They don't care what phone is, they care you pay your loan and they give you a credit for that because you keep the line/s. If you have lost or damaged and replaced your original EIP phones, that would not change it either, for example.
I traded in couple iPhone12Pro, which I have on EIP for another 12ish months, to iPhone13Pro. I activated the 13Pros myself, TMobile recognizes them as fully paid devices and they've been unlocked from day one. Actually, you don't even need to put new SIM, I used my old SIM in one of them, in that case you don't even need to activate anything. Just be sure when you do your trade in at Best Buy, don't forget to pull out and keep your original SIM with you. 1. You can immediately re-use it in the new phone 2. Most importantly, you don't want your active SIM to be with someone else even for the several minutes while your replace it in your TMobile account with the new one.
I'm not exactly sure what best buy does when you choose upgrade but it does state phone needs to be activated in store...does best buy allow me to sim swap and activate using my old sim instead of them doing their usual customer service activation while you stand there? (havent actually used BB in YEARS so not sure what the norm is today)

I remembered the tmobile rep when I text (phone number not TForce) them during cancellation it can be reactivated within 90 days so maybe I just needed to text them again to reactive it? But this deal is only 24hrs so not much wiggle room if I cant get that original $20 sim card to reactivate since I dont have any signal when I pop it into my unlocked s21.

Btw when it is reactived do I use the orignal $20 sim or the most current sim that came with the phone since I did a few tradeins with the original $20 line.

They dropped the price on the IP13 and IP13 Mini by $100. Nice! I'm thinking of trading in my IP11 Pro for a IP13 Mini. I will basically pay $10 + sales tax.
Trade you 11 pro for 13 pro with T-Mobile on magenta max plan

From what I understand, the phones are programmed to lock to the first carrier sim that you put in them. I have done this with ATT phones in the past but don't know if the practice still works.
Many users report lock ATT not able unlock, If someone already use T-Mobile, can easily unlock with T-Mobile, otherwise, do risk on your own.
