This is with bestbuy, so no bill credit involved, it's instant trade in value that deducts from the sale price, and tax is on the deducted selling price too. Don't mislead others.

ATT is $100 cheaper further. $500 for mini and $600 for regular. But trade in values are horrible.

T-Mo is still the best in value overall.

Yes. I traded 3 phones (12mini/12/12pro to 13mini/13/13pro) back in November at Best Buy, all with EIP. The credits continue.

Also, the new phones were initially locked to TMo. I don't know when it happened, but they're now all unlocked without me requesting it. I wish they'll have a similar trade in deal at BB every year. Much nicer than dealing with EIP and monthly credits.

Did you use the activate the 13s with the 12s Sims or the Sims BB provided? If you used the 12s Sims does your account show the 13s as the current device on those 3 lines? I did this deal y'day and activated using the 12 sim and account detected the 13 as current device... Wondering if there's any correlation between continuing credits to old sim to system detection of current device...

It doesn't affect the bill credits. I am not using the phone that I get credits for on my line. The credits will continue to come as long as the phone number is still active and not closed. T-Mo will detect the IMEI and update the device on their end and tie it with the current SIM.

Placed my order yesterday and picked it up. Traded in a Total Wireless iPhone 11 and they didn't check the phone at all, they just wanted the phone reset and wanted the IMEI. Was in and out in a couple mins! YMMV, but if you have a phone with some not so noticeable wear you should be able to trade it in with no issue. They activated the phone without opening it as well.

just wondering if not currently on T-mobile, does it make sense to trade in XR from TW and select those $50+ mega plans? i don's see non-mega plans as a option on BB
Find someone in your life who IS on T-Mobile and pay them back. The heroically motivated went to COSTCO and opened a $20 talk and text line that they will later close - just to do this transaction.

BB didn't open the box but scanned all the barcodes. I was able to take out and pop in my Visible sim and use right away. Unlocked?
Locked to Visible with no clear path to getting unlocked. Save your receipts and plan for an adventure once you have used the phone for 60 days on Visible. Search for posts from lawrencelin

I apologize if this has been asked before - I placed an order for pickup later today (trading in an iPhone XR), and tried to place a second order (trading in an iPhone SE 2nd generation), but received the following message:

Multiple orders found

Sorry, but you have multiple orders to upgrade the same line or phone number. You can cancel your pending orders by logging into your BestBuy.com account

If you have questions or need support regarding your order, please visit Best Buy Support.

Do I need to complete the first trade-in before I can do a second trade-in? In the alternative, is this something that a customer service person simply has to assist with in-person? Or am I limited to one trade in for this particular promotion?

We are on a family plan with 9+ lines, and most of those lines are eligible for an upgrade.

Trying to use a friend's TMO account, they keep asking me how I can get this deal without opening a line on their account and if it will affect their monthly bill credits since their line is being used to "upgrade" phones
When you click "upgrade" on the Best Buy site it never burns the "upgrade" on the underlying T-Mobile phone line. That is the beauty of this deal for those who want to trade in a bunch of old phones

Are you saying we can use the same line to upgrade this deal with different trade ins for multiple iPhone 13s?? How do we do it separate orders? Do we have to finish one then do the next ? Thanks.

How is this still not front page? No need to add a line, no EIP, tax on the net price after trade in.
Last year's free upgrade from 11 to 12 was free but tax on $830 was comparable to $50+tax on this 12 to 13 deal with no EIP.
This is about as good as it gets.
Well, 8 to 12 free on EIP was good.
It is a minor change to an old deal. Basically a repost that has been FP three times since September.

Help please! Here's my scenario….I bought the XR from the trafone deal and planned on giving it as a gift to my mother who seriously needs an updated phone. I have not activated the phone yet. My plans were to activate it and then give it to her to use with her current carrier consumer cellular. I'd like to get her this deal since it's a better phone. If I buy this would I be charged full price or ETFs if I cancel the service in 60 days so she can use it with Consumer Cellular?

Finish one trade-in and then order the next. So far it has not burned the TMo "upgrade" privileges and only one person said they were blocked after four Best Buy purchases on the same phone number - I consider that an unsubstantiated rumor but you should be good to go for multiple sequential orders.

Does this use up the 5 mobile device trade in for gift card limit per year that bestbuy has?what I mean is they allow you to convert a working iPhone to best buy gift card limit 5 of same model cell fone per year per person..wondering if this upgrade with trade in uses 1 of those 5 slots, cuz I have Xr that I want to separately convert to BBY gift card..

Can anyone explain how to open a line $20/line a month?
It is "talk and text" no data - you can chat with TMobile online - wait for them to mail you a SIM card - possibly pay activation fees. For immediate gratification you use a Costco membership and make them find it on their list of plans - that way you might be ordering a Best Buy trade in by the end of today

I'm very beginning user who try Visible back to September, I hope someone who activated with Visible After October 2021 have good new Auto Unlock after 60 days, since someone already activated with Visible, let us see if something change recently.
