This is with bestbuy, so no bill credit involved, it's instant trade in value that deducts from the sale price, and tax is on the deducted selling price too. Don't mislead others.

ATT is $100 cheaper further. $500 for mini and $600 for regular. But trade in values are horrible.

T-Mo is still the best in value overall.

Anyone thinks one can do this deal and then flip the new phone?

Literally did this for months man lmao. This ain't anything new.
Yeah, same here. Sold seven iPhone 13 phones and three s21 phones since November, except now I am banned from online orders for cell phones at Best Buy. The orders go thru but then immediately get canceled.

Seems lame on their end to ban me since it was all done legit using valid trade devices and 9 lines on T-Mobile account. Whatever. Fark Best Buy. I haven't bought anything anyway at that overpriced excuse of a store in over 5 years until these T-mobile deals surfaced. LOL. I still may try to do a trade in-store to see if I am still flagged via that route, but only because I still have 2 locked XRs from tw that I need to unload.

I only meet at the local police station. Cash only. Plus I am ex-footballer so I think I probably intimidate others upon first sight rather than the other way around, even though I'm sweet as sugar, they don't know that. LOL. I have had Covid so not really phased by that whole scene, but not going to get political here. I do mask up and don't hover too closely out of respect for others however.

Yeah, I'm not sure what their beef is, they are making the sale.

When you sell, you have to kind of read the way the other person communicates. Are they courteous? do they ask way too many questions? Are they talking like they want everything to go their way instead of compromise?

Scammers like to sometimes want to buy the item quickly but tell you they'll send you a check first to deposit. Then say they'll send a person to come pick up the item to deliver to them.

I'm sure there is a reason why, probably scammers at some point found a way to beat the system and ruined it for honest consumers like myself. I get it that it is easier for a store to just cut off a buyer who raises a flag in their system based on certain purchase patterns.

But what I think is BS is they don't explain anything or even acknowledge the fact that they have implemented a ban. Nor are they willing to look any further into verifying the legitimacy of each previous transaction. They just have this secretive "Oh well, too bad, Fark off" policy based on some parameters that I did not even know existed. Oh well, first world problems.

I think may be there is some other reason your account got flagged. I have purchased and sold 15 iPhones and I have 8 TMobile lines. My account is still intact and infact I am picking 3 more iPhones from the same store on Tuesday. No cancellations so far.

Long time T-Mobile customer here with a legacy Simple Talk plan. This deal worked well for me. I got $140 for trading in an iPhone 8 Plus (64 GB) + $200 T-Mo promo + $100 discount on iPhone 13 mini. After $440 in discounts, ended up paying $349 + tax for a new iPhone 13 Mini (256 GB) that has 5G and should last me for years. Saved 55% of MSRP on a brand new iPhone without having to deal with selling old phone or bill credits or activating a new line. A very slick deal for me!

You are not really anything special. Bestbuy just has you tagged as a reseller. Happens all the time with us botters.

Pretty normal procedure from them if you buy a lot of one item.

Your post is very interesting. Thanks for that info. I am going by what a few other SDers told me previously regarding my Best Buy account being tagged as a reseller, but in reality I am clueless as to why my cell phone orders get canceled. I think I will go in-store and see what transpires. I recently did a "test purchase" online at best buy for store pickup of a sim card, and it did not get canceled, which surprised me. It is now ready for store pickup.

Maybe it is something on the T-Mobile side of this equation? I do have 10 active eips and a few others that are now completed but still produce bill credits on my account because I paid them off early. Maybe the dollar amount of credit or the number of eips is flagging things? But I had the same setup on my T-Mobile account when I ordered all of the other phones from Best Buy previously without any issues.

Maybe I will pay off a couple of active eips in-full early just to see if that changes anything. I can't imagine why it would since these Best Buy phone deals are not eip purchases but outright paid-in-full transactions. Again, I'm just blindly taking stabs in the dark. It is frustrating being kept in the dark as to why this is happening.

I figured one could, just wasn't sure about the whole TMobile activating the line etc and whether that would cause complications.
My procedure has been to just put T-Mo sim in and request unlock. 100% hit rate for me but I also have T-Mo business lines so might be why. I sell them as open-box with like $50 off retail and it goes fast.
