This is with bestbuy, so no bill credit involved, it's instant trade in value that deducts from the sale price, and tax is on the deducted selling price too. Don't mislead others.

ATT is $100 cheaper further. $500 for mini and $600 for regular. But trade in values are horrible.

T-Mo is still the best in value overall.

Your post is very interesting. Thanks for that info. I am going by what a few other SDers told me previously regarding my Best Buy account being tagged as a reseller, but in reality I am clueless as to why my cell phone orders get canceled. I think I will go in-store and see what transpires. I recently did a "test purchase" online at best buy for store pickup of a sim card, and it did not get canceled, which surprised me. It is now ready for store pickup.

Maybe it is something on the T-Mobile side of this equation? I do have 10 active eips and a few others that are now completed but still produce bill credits on my account because I paid them off early. Maybe the dollar amount of credit or the number of eips is flagging things? But I had the same setup on my T-Mobile account when I ordered all of the other phones from Best Buy previously without any issues.

Maybe I will pay off a couple of active eips in-full early just to see if that changes anything. I can't imagine why it would since these Best Buy phone deals are not eip purchases but outright paid-in-full transactions. Again, I'm just blindly taking stabs in the dark. It is frustrating being kept in the dark as to why this is happening.
If the order is being cancelled on Best Buy's end it's their system. Your TMo account doesn't affect it.

You are not really anything special. Bestbuy just has you tagged as a reseller. Happens all the time with us botters.

Pretty normal procedure from them if you buy a lot of one item.
If that is the case, does that status ever change? And are there ways around it?

Ugh my acct login is still through Sprint as they have not "migrated" it over yet, so it reduces trade in value to only $300 instead of $500 for iPhone 11. Anyone had luck getting their acct changed over to T-Mobile login quickly w/ CS? Assuming that's the only work-around

Nope. Just make a new account and rinse and repeat. I use family members names for botting.

Why even do this deal? Sprint is offering $800 back with an XR trade in.

Nice find, I see not mentioned in the list BUT you can essentially trade in any iPhone for a high value IF the one you're buying is lesser in value, i was getting a error on value for my iPhone 12 Pro and that was because the trade value was higher then the 13 mini i had in the cart. If i select the 13 Pro it gave my 12 Pro trade value of $800 not bad. They also offer $590 value for the 11 Pro also and so on. I jumped on trading a 12 Mini for $525 value for a iPhone 13 and my iPhone SE (2020) for $340 for 13 Mini nice find OP.

My procedure has been to just put T-Mo sim in and request unlock. 100% hit rate for me but I also have T-Mo business lines so might be why. I sell them as open-box with like $50 off retail and it goes fast.
LOL back when BB had the OG iPhone SE Space Gray 32GB ATT Prepaid for $100 i bought like no joke 50 of them from various stores because back then before the big unlocking ring bust you could bulk unlock all of them for $20 a piece and i resold them all day long for $250

OK thanks for the great info. So make a new account and use family members' names. Does the account address, phone number, credit card, etc all need to be different too? So that means the family member has to pick up the phone at Best Buy?

Will my doing this deal entirely in-store make any difference? Or will I still be flagged? Someone mentioned the store system is different than the online system at Best Buy so the deal can still be done in-store even for those who have been flagged online.

Sorry for all of the questions, just trying to find a path to freedom. LOL.

I thought it was use a new email addy and that's it, i don't think they check names at least most sites don't for barred buyers (unless its fraud related then they can ban your IP etc). Kinda like Amazon, ebay, Target, etc you can literally have 10 accounts under different emails all with the same name, address and card.

Yeah, thanks that is a good idea to ask on reddit, will do. But seems like MonsterCaribou might be onto something here, so interested in hearing his comments first.

If activating the iphone using the sim card that comes with it, will Tmobile give you the option of choosing which number on the account goes with the phone? Or do you have to contact Tmobile for the activation? Thanks

The activation is done in store and you get a assigned # in store assuming its a new line, if this is a upgrade then you don't get a new# obviously. The SIM doesnt come with the phone, they give you one upon upgrade/adding line. *FAIR WARNING TO YOU GUYS ON HERE, THE IPHONES ARE NOT SIM LOCKED TO T-MOBILE* They get locked to the first inserted SIM it appears as i just locked on of the iphones to Verizon after inserting a Verizon sim, not it shows "SIM not supported" when i put in a T-mobile SIM they gave me, so I assuming they aren't locked to any carrier.

Thanks, it's an upgrade, so will I get to choose which phone number the phone will be associated with if I use the new sim card that came with the phone? Or is it best to just use my original sim card from the old phone.
