This is with bestbuy, so no bill credit involved, it's instant trade in value that deducts from the sale price, and tax is on the deducted selling price too. Don't mislead others.

ATT is $100 cheaper further. $500 for mini and $600 for regular. But trade in values are horrible.

T-Mo is still the best in value overall.

Is it possible to "upgrade" the same number twice? I signed up for T-Mobile w/ the $20 talk and text plan and successfully used that phone number to get this deal. If I have another (unlocked) phone I want to trade in, is it possible to just go the "upgrade" route again using the same number I used for my first trade-in? (Guessing the answer is no but checking just in case).
Yes it is.. you have to wait until you actually receive the phone at best buy and they process your trade in.. you can pretty much upgrade that line the next minute at the store itself and get the second phone if you like

How many devices can we get using single T-Mobile account?
People have mentioned one line allows four upgrades.. I am not sure though..someone with more TMobile experience might know or better yet ask a TMobile rep on Twitter.. by far the best support that I have experienced from a telecom company

** nvm that. literally 1 minute I sent the below, tried it again, it says no sim restriction. thanks everyone. got one more to try

After t mobile did unlock, do you have to go to itunes or use another sim to see if phone is unlock? I tried another sim and restart phone, still under settings says sim locked. already 15 minutes
got my two unlocks done via fb. FB was really fast. first one took 15 minute from the rep saying it's unlock to actually seeing No Sim restrction on phone. Second phone took like 2 minutes. Very very fast. Thanks to all.

* for those that opened the $20 talk and text lines, what are you guys going to do with it? call and cancel? is it okay to cancel in one day?

Why does the unlock time vary so much for T-force on twitter? I would think it would be a standard process. Reading this thread, some get unlocked immediately, some in a few hours, some take a day, others 3-4 days and others are just told wait 40 days.

s22 is being released in a week or two. Should be some lucrative trade deals via Samsung and T-Mobile. If you definitely want iPhone, this deal is warm but made warmer by zero bill credits and immediate unlocking by T-Mobile. If you're on Magenta Max and can stomach 30 months of bill credits, there is a $0 trade offer currently from T-Mobile. So basically you need to decide which deal works best for you.
Thank you for your perspective ! I prefer iphones in general. I am not on magenta but on a older plan and no plans to change it..so I guess I will wait for a bit and see what s22 has to offer. If I get more bang for the buck I might take a chance. Thanks again !

Put in a different US carrier SIM and that will trigger the phone to reconnect with Apple activation server

I signed up for the $20 text/call plan. Can anyone tell me if I should use the add a line option or upgrade option on the best buy website? What would the final service price be?

anybody recommend a screen protector and a place to get it applied? I've purchased them and applied myself and then the screen ended up cracking so I want to get it done by an expert but not get ripped off. Thanks.

I was wondering the same thing, 1st contacted Twiitter and was told unlock request submitted and it will take 72 hours, then connect via facebook and was told it will take 24 hrs. Don't know how others get unlocked right away. Both Facebook/Twiiter request me to verify being T-mo customer by logging into tmo account. though. Also did you get email notification when unlocked like ATT sim unlock?

I've never used a screen protector. If you have a good case, it will prevent the screen from touching the ground if you drop the phone.
