All my orders of 12 cans of anything from Amazon have had at least half of the cans dented. Am I the only one? Pineapple, tomatoes, soup... I was thinking they just resell the ones other stores won't take.
Not for me. WM shows $0.72 per can for their own brand @ 15.5 oz = $8.64 not including the tax etc.
vs this for me w/5/s&s was $8.30 for 12 @ 16 oz.

I bought 2 orders to donate most of them.
Thx op, tu and repped!Smilie
Meh. As long as they aren't damaged too the point of being comprised it doesn't bother me.. Alot of concentrated weight with many shipping processes involved. I order things like these for convenience.

Definitely higher than Walmart brand. I just bought red kidney beans (no salt added) for 50 cents a can yesterday in-store.
That's very interesting! May I ask what part of the country are you shopping in? In Dover, Delaware they jacked their bean prices up from 48 cents a can to 62 cents recently (along with everything else...most of the staple food items I shop there have gone up at least 25%, in many instances much more; 5 LB all purpose flour went up about 50%...all within the past year.).

Yes and also as happens often, a difference between their online price and in-store price for the same item.
Years ago it used to be the in-store was less, because they got you into the store and you'd most likely spend more once there. Now, it's no rhyme, no reason, just whims of theirs or else as per their algorithms.
My experience as well. Lately, I've found triple price differences: online browsing, Walmart mobile app and store prices have all been different, in some cases by 50 to 100 percent.
They have real issues. Then there is the 24"x24"x24" thin cardboard box they used to ship a item weighing 2 lbs and measuring 8"x18"x18"...and no packing whatsoever; box was left by FedEx crushed under the weight of another heavier box. Rising prices and poor work ethic seem to be the way these days.

BTW, OP, thanks for the post!

Raleigh, North Carolina area. I shop Walmart brands for as much stuff as I can because the stuff is all the same and I don't see the need in wasting money. I split my grocery shopping between Aldi and Walmart depending on what I need.

100% agree and it is across the whole spectrum of businesses now, from my dealings and what I've seen! vomit
I recently had to argue with AMAZON for over an hour and talk to 6 csr, & 3 Supervisors and 3 (dropped aka disconnected calls) to get a situation of their making, from a December Christmas order never delivered! Mad Thankfully I have always been a fighter for the right versus wrong in life! nod

You may want to talk to your local food bank about what they want. Some prefer beans because they have a long shelf life and are full or protein. Some prefer the steak, but only if it's fresh and you can get it there following all health standards.

Look, they get what you give.

And very few poor people ask or dream of beans. SMH.

Same here. Totally agree on private vs popular brands; in many cases, the quality is actually better. We do not have many shopping options, but we do have an Aldi & a Lidl next to each other, and they fill in some of the blanks left by Walmart re: our shopping needs. Yesterday was our shopping day: Lidl had eggs and Aldi had none; both had a lot of empty shelves and freezer cases, and no available carts! Walmart's also hit & miss...and their website crashed on us right after we placed a pickup order, and wouldn't let us edit the order for 2 days, but at least they processed it!

Oh yes... that old man living on the street, who hasn't showered in months, prefers beans due to the long shelf life..... LET THEM EAT STEAK

But not any kind of steak.... fresh steak.

I guess no one told you, the best stakes r just before they turn bad. A wealthy restaurant owner, when he shops for himself, trys to only buy the discounted meats claiming ho much better they taste.

Never buy anything edible from amazon. There return policy is always questionable and non refundable as well sometimes.
