I've used these. I think the problem with these Lysol ones is that they're tiny and mostly release a light scent.

I've experimented with a few passive toilet cleaners and none leave toilets clean and smelling nicer than Soft Scrubs. They have a wider range, so more water will splash upon them and provide stronger cleaning. You will also see a visible amount of bubbles with each flush. They don't last as long as others, but they will do the job.

There's some $0.88 ones at Walmart that I can never remember the name of that smell really nice. I have no idea if they clean well because the toilet I used them on was evidently the one I clean a lot since I dont mind. If all you're looking for is to make a toilet smell nice, get one of them. They're always haphazardly mixed up in their box at the same aisle as toilet cleaners.

I'm thinking of switching to tank-based cleaners since the idiotic men in my house seem to think these passive cleaners are a farking target to piss on.

Not sure if more effective but it definitely won't eat up and corrode the rubber/plastic components in your toilet tank like those tabs do.
