We view the cam feeds and get alerts directly from each Cam, no cloud service is used. All that is needed is an sdcard in the Cams, as motion detection is built into the cams

1. They're bigger than the solo C24 cameras - 3 inch base vs 2 inch base. This can be an issue if the space is tight.
2. If they're upright, they can't really pan down. If they're hanging from the ceiling, the panning will do everything you need. If they're sitting on a bookshelf, they might need to go on a lower shelf.
I am not sure what are you talking about, have you tried it?
It works with Google home fine. You can view the camera feed on your google display even.
We used to have multiple Wyze Cams installed but ended up transitioning to all Eufy P24 Cams due to the superior features of them. We have eight installed now, most outdoors, and they all work great.

These are nice. A couple of negatives I've found:

2. If they're upright, they can't really pan down. If they're hanging from the ceiling, the panning will do everything you need. If they're sitting on a bookshelf, they might need to go on a lower shelf.
Love mine!!! Just got one for a friend. If you just have one camera, the cloud service is cheap. For one camera it's only $3/month, or $2.50/month if you buy a years worth of service.
If I have a Homebase2, will this work with that for local storage?
Homebase2 is separate from these indoor cameras at this moment, so no. I'm sure they could change that with software update but the Eufy community needs to express interest to force Eufy hand

I don't think so. The product page says it's not compatible with "homebase" and doesn't mention "homebase2". This is one area where I think Eufy dropped the ball. Everything should be compatible with homebase.
Sadly, i am selling all of my and replacing with Lorex POE so i can have the constant monitoring. But the Eufys are great.
The Lorex stuff looks really nice, but I don't see any mention of person detection. Getting alerts of people vs random motion helps cut down on unnecessary alerts. Lorex would be a prime system if they added that feature.

And it doesn't work with Samsung Smartthings or Alexa or Google home.
