I bought a quantity of 4 x 96 pencils of these. With one box (12 pencils), I went to sharpen these on an electric sharpener and half of the side gets sharpened where you see the lead exposed while the other half side is still woody. I tried another box and same thing.

It is not the sharpener since I purchased 3 different brands.

Maybe you got it from a bad batch? Amazon is showing I bought this 5 times since 2019 and we never once had any issues with sharpening. The way it sharpens better than any other pencils we've had is the reason why we bought it multiple times. We've used it with multiple sharpeners as well but primarily us an electronic X-Acto.

Problem is I could not return it because it was past the 30 day policy. I had other pencils that I still needed to use up.

Luckily, I contacted Dixon company and they sent out the replacements. I haven't tried sharpening those. Got too many things going on!
