Costco is usually warmed to 70 degrees, but is not a good source of portable heat.

You can usually get these for around $.50 per two pack. Walmart and target have 10 packs for $5.79

These are probably the ultimate in convenience, but take a look at a Zippo hand warmer too.

It uses lighter fluid and a catalytic converter to heat up for 12 hrs. Over time the Zippo is probably cheaper, but Hot Hands are initially cheaper and convenient.

All I saw at Costco were the adhesive toe warmers that last 5 hrs. $33.99 for 60 pairs so that's about $0.57 each.

Mine doesn't make things smell like lighter fluid, but I follow the directions and don't overfill it. It burns extremely cleanly. Maybe it will burn worse as it ages.

FYI - put a quantity of 20 in my cart and it threw an error that only 8 were available.

Changed to 2 separate orders of qty 15 and was able to check out just fine for both.

Going to donate these to my son's school for the staff outside directing busses and parent drop offs in the MN cold.

The zippo is by far the most efficient form of portable hand warmers. Mine have lasted 24 hours and has still been hot.

Yep, if your Zippo warmer makes you smell like lighter fluid, you're doing it wrong. You might want to throw them away before you catch yourself on fire.
