Amazon's return policy is more generous although their free return on TV is only mentioned for if it is defective. It's probably cumbersome and pricey to "try" out a TV. Probably should be certain you want the TV before buying one online. A lot of the online stores have similar policies as those two. If you're not sure if you're gonna like the TV, probably best to deal with a local store.
Any other things I can do to pull price down anymore before buying?
Consumer Priority Service and it clearly states
What doesn't CPS's TV extended warranty cover?
This warranty does not cover any kind of damage to the TV, the cost of removal or reinstallation, or burn in on the television screen. Stolen TVs are also not covered.
Is this a scam never heard of the comp.

Extended warranties are only going to get worse. I just got screwed over by Best Buy on one. I guess if they are thrown in the deal that's great, but I wouldn't pay or assign "deal" any value to them.
Looks like every other sale. Rather get it from Costco personally. When 77" goes below $2500 people will flock to it.
Extended warranties, in general, have always been and will always be a losing proposition. Overall, warranties pay out approx 30 cents on the dollar paid. Obviously it varies based on the product, but in general when companies sell warranties, 30% of the money you pay goes to pay out warranty claims, another 30% goes to administrative and overhead expenses of the warranty company, and 40% goes straight into their pocket as profit. As much as it would suck to spend $2500 on a new TV and have it die 3 years later, if you extend that logic out and buy warranties for all your stuff (cell phones, TVs, laptops, cars, etc.) you are essentially guaranteed to lose money compared to just repairing and replacing stuff that breaks.
Smart money motto in life: insure only the things you can't afford not to (health, car, and term life insurance). Everything else, roll the dice!
if you think this is a great deal without the warranty, then go for it. But don't assign much value to it or use it as a way to justify purchasing it.
