If anyone is wondering if a 22" is too small, i cook for 5 including myself. I only cook 2 things at a time, one on each half. For me it's perfectly fine. But i know for others with a bigger family it wouldn't. If that doesn't bother you i definitely recommend this size. I had to reseason 3 times before getting it right.

Open tank valve slowly so you get good gas flow. Set burners on High. Apply a light cost of oil. When oil stops smoking reapply another thin coat of oil. Repeat 3-4 times.

Seasoning is not that difficult. I have a 22 and 36 inch, only had to do a initial seasoning once. Instructions are in the manual. Or watch this rep at Blackstone do it.

As for capacity the 22" can hold an entire package of Oscar Meyer bacon. A dozen 3 oz smash burgers. 8 fair size pancakes.
