Does it work ok w/ the Virtual Desktop [oculus.com] / Airlink or do you recommend the cable for this game?
Btw, Fanatical has a few VR bundles on sale that seem pretty good. Spend $10+ and get a bonus non-VR mystery Steam game too.

It works really well with Virtual Desktop. Just make sure you have a wifi6 router, your PC is connected to the router via Ethernet, and to turn on all of Virtual Desktop's performance features on by default. Don't use its AI.
What do you mean? The required minimum specs are really low. It only requires an I5 and GTX 1060 or RX 580. All of them are over half a decade old and cheap.

There's a teleport move option that would work fine, but it kills immersion.
Set movement to head tracking ie you only move forward with the controller and you move where you're looking, and walk in place.
Considering buying an oculus just to play this
Do you have a link to a good article/video describing the ideal settings or can you provide your own? I tried tweaking with the settings. I have a dedicated router with only the Quest on it, it's on the 5ghz network, and the router is in the same room. My PC with a 2080 is wired to the router also. However I can't get a crisp resolution comparable to my G2 on some games, like Alyx. The only thing missing is that the router is not WiFi 6. Wondering if I'm being too optimistic here about the resolution it can achieve. Not to say I'm expecting g2 quality out of the Q2, but some games like alyx are very blurry in comparison, while other games are pretty close

Also in response to the other comment about having a bad PC. It will drastically reduce your playing experience as there will be noticeable drop in frame rate throughout the entire game. There currently no offering to run the game solely on the Oculus Quest 2.
