Lol you think HD would really make a mistake like this? Retail companies do this all the time, they have excess inventory clogging up precious warehouse and store space and they dump it in the middle of the night. Happens all.the.time. hell they do it in broad day light these days too, as long as the deal goes fast enough to control the spread of it they are happy. They know places like SD exist to eat up stale product so they don't have to keep marking it down and waste what may otherwise be productive shelf space.

Have there been other instances where pricing mistake orders got cancelled by HD? Not necessarily low/oos, but a blanket cancellation of all order? I'm hopeful they ship, but I can't find any previous events googling… it seems in the past pricing mistakes may have shipped, but it wasn't as extreme as this.

Why would they code it as an exclusive and a special buy then? They'd have to screw up three times, one on price, one on exclusive, and one on special buy tagging. Dumping stale inventory is par for the course for those multi tens of billions of dollar companies. People want brushless, brushed is more or less going away. Were they to mark this stuff down over time they'd would in fact be canibalizing sales of their brushless tools which command a 1.5x premium or so. Spring is coming and they can't have this crap weighing them down. What you think is a mistake is just normal day in day out inventory management, albeit this one was a bit bigger than most fire sales. But it really wasn't that big relative to the market cap of HD. Really this is just an indication that they have excess inventory they need to liquidate so you should keep your eyes peeled for more in Q1.

I got in on the Amazon Sony Camera price mistake. They shipped it to me a month and a half later. They had to wait for more stock from Sony. Now Amazon is great for honoring that price mistake, but that's what it was: a mistake. Just like this was.

I'm not really sure now that you mention it. I linked the Gladiator Cabinet price mistake earlier. Most/many were cancelled, but I got 1, and some friends and other users on here received them. Same for the stools and tables at the time., I do remember trying to pick up a few quantity-price-mistakes on, say, hornet spray, and they only gave me one can and told me to return it for refund or pound sand.

For the gladiator cabinet... I did place multiple single orders, only 1 went through, and it wasn't even the newest or oldest order. If it was a stock issue only, in theory only the newest orders should have been cancelled.

Lol companies are not obligated to ship you something that they made a mistake in pricing. Most real price mistakes do.not.ship. bet you five bucks a lot of these ship. Same rationale when a bank accidentally deposits five million dollars into your account... You better damn well give it back because they will sue you to oblivion because it was not an intentional/legitimate transaction.

Don't get me wrong I hope I get what I ordered, but even with their shipping discounts, "free shipping" cost them another $25-$35 per box to ship something this big. And to say their cost was only $99 from dwalt is way too low as well.
