it's only 2 years even with the costco visa card. I can get the 2nd year warranty with any of my chase cards as well..

biggest downside for this gaming laptop is:
- RTX 3060 is rated 85w (one of the lowest performance versions), which makes it near the performance of a RTX 3050 Ti

If it had the 100w or higher version, this would definitely be a really good deal

According to this https://www.costco.com/concierge-...ranty.html, Costco Concierge 2 years + Costco visa card 2 years. Wouldn't it be 4 years warranty?

Not all laptops qualify for that. If you look at this MSI laptop specifically, it says 2nd year Costco Extended warranty by concierge.. So its not 2+2 but rather 1+1. If there was a 2+2 warranty, it would clearly list that in the product page.

but thats something you have to buy extra as well.. you can do that with literally any retail store purchase..

All I'm saying is that that warranty wise, its not a huge difference..

Can someone please help me out? I purchased the Dell G15 deal for $734 coming with i5 11th Gen, 512GB M.2 SSD, RTX 3050 Ti 4GB and already upgraded the RAM to 32GB for $130. With the Amex $120 off the total out the door was $826 + 130 -120 = $836.

This laptop comes with the i7 11th Gen, RTX 3060 (I saw the message about 85w), 1 TB SSD, and 16GB of their RAM. $999 plus tax = $1075.

Is the $240 difference worth the upgrade of processor, half the RAM, and higher model Video card?

Thanks. Where did you find this info? I posted my dilemma a few comments down and wondering if $240 is worth getting the 3060 6GB instead of 3050Ti 4 GB.

I think several sites (like PCmag) that reviewed this notebook talked about the 85w rated RTX 3060.

As for the difference in performance between this gimped RTX 3060 (85w) and a RTX 3050 Ti, you can look at the benchmarks. Most games shows around 2-8% difference in overall performance.

So its up to you to decide if that difference is worth the price difference.

Returning mine... the battery is shit. Lose about 1 percentage battery every 2 minutes (only web browsing).

Hmm strange, I have the 75w GF65 THIN variant and running it over locked I'm getting ~80% to 150% greater fps than a 3050ti in benchmarks. On mine, 130fps avg in BF5 maxed out is very close [~-5fps] to desktop, recreating benchmark videos (mobile has more cuda cores) 6GB vs 4GB does make a difference.

That's because it's Intel. Only Ryzen has good battery for H-series. 12th gen might be different, not sure yet

Has anyone found a good AC adapter for this machine? Most of the units I can find on amazon or ebay are show .5 volts and small bit of amps.

I'm thinking about the same Dell G15 deal. Can someone with computer knowledge provide their insights? Is it worth 200$ more for this MSI?

Thank you in advanced

Just picked this up , very happy with it. I was browsing instagram and got an 300 off coupon offer by entering my name , email and phone number picked it up for 799 (1099 - 300 coupon) at microcenter Denver. They had 25+ in stock. Honestly not sure how I got the offer it was random. The screen is not great and neither is battery life but I don't need it for that , just wanted a portable gaming rig for when I travel , will always use it with power cord.
